Chapter Four

The girl: Bye...

         I walk out the door, leaving her in the mirror. Who is she? She doesn't even know her own name. I think about the picture across from the mirror. Could she be the teenage girl in it? I countinue home still thinking about her. I walk into the house expecting everyone to question where I was, but suprisingly I was able to make it to my room without any questions. I wait for one of the others to come ask me questions. I hear knocking at the door, confirming my suspitions.

Jeff: Where were you all day?

E.J: I...um, I was walking in the forest all day.

Jeff: I do not believe you.

E.J: Whatever, please get out.

Jeff: Fine, but you better tell the truth later.

        I sigh as he walks out, leaving me alone. I get into bed, waiting to see if anyone else decided to question me.
                                                                                                                Time skip
        I wake up to see that it is about seven in the morning. I decide to go see the girl while the other's are asleep. I creep down the stairs. Going out the door as quietly as I could, I sprint towards the house. It take about half an hour to get to the house. I carefully go up the stairs, not wanting the floor to collapse on me. I walk into the room, and she is not there. Was I imagining the whole thing? I go over and lightly knock on the mirror. She appears out of seemingly no where, and her face lightens up.

The girl: Oh, E.J! You actually came.

E.J: Yeah, did you think I was lying?

The girl: No, I just met someone before you that said that he would come back, but he never did. Most people who see me scream and run away.
