The last thing America remembered before his vision cleared again was the ground rising up to meet him, as well as the high-pitched screaming from Canada from somewhere above him. Now that his vision was returning, he could see the blurry figures of what looked to be a Nervous Lumberjack with a dead raccoon on their head and a Hispanic looking, poncho-wearing taco eater. As soon as his vision cleared he realized it was just Canada and Mexico.

"Ughhh..." America sat up, putting his hand to his head. He could feel his sunglasses falling off of his face as he pulled himself off of the floor, as well as two frantic arms wrapping around his waist into a tight hug.

He looked down, only to see Canada pushing their face into his hoodie, his sunglasses sliding off of their hat as they murmured words of hushed concern to him. The look of worry in their eyes only made America irritated as it really wasn't that big of a deal to him; It was just a fall. Why were they overreacting about it?

"Lay offa me, maple head." America huffed, putting an arm between them and himself as he pressed a hand to their cheek, trying to push them as far away as possible.

Once they were off, he was quick to snatch his sunglasses, trying to make sure no one saw his face from under them. It wouldn't be very flattering in his case.

He then turned his attention to Canada.

"S..Sorry." Canada apologized gingerly, loosening their grip and sitting back as they put their hands in their lap.

This only made America more irritated as Canada was always apologizing. "Sorry this" "Sorry that", all it was was continuous and annoying. At this point it was more of an excuse than an apology, and with the pathetic look on their face America figured all they wanted was sympathy. Which, guaranteed, they weren't going to get.

"What even happened?" America asked, shaking off his irritation towards Canada as he tried to make sense of what had caused the fall.

"Well amigo, you fell off the bed." Mexico put it straight, fixing his overly patterned sombrero over his head.

"I can see that." America practically growled, glancing up at the middle bunk of the bed where he had fallen.

Mexico was a bit of a wise-cracker, usually pointing out the obvious as if he thought he was hilarious. One time while they were in the library, Mexico even took the time to flip the books around in the mystery category so that no one could see the covers just for the sole purpose of calling it a "true mystery". At this very moment however, Mexico's wise-cracker attitude definitely wasn't helping America get any closer to figuring out why he had fallen.

America sighed and turned to look at Canada, figuring they would have a better explanation. They must have noticed, because they immediately snapped to attention; Blurting out words as they tried to come up with something on the spot.

"W- Well, it's early morning... and... well, I was just waking up and, the first thing I noticed was you rolling off the bed. So I'm not- n"-The fact that they were stuttering was already starting to get on America's nerves, the pathetic tone in their voice as they practically quivered under his glare only making him resent them more and more as they continued that same, nervous glance towards him-"ot really sure."

"Of course you ain't sure." America tsked, pulling himself onto his feet and brushing himself off, only to hear his stomach growling. Great, now he was hungry.

Canada perked up, hearing the growl they turned to look at America and asked; "Oh! You're hungry?"

America glanced down, raising an eyebrow at Canada as if to say "Wasn't it obvious?"
