Chapter 4 ~Her Bedtime~

~Kaede POV~

     After drawing in Adora's room, the three of us had gone down stairs to get a snack and watch TV -well, Catra had been the one to leave the majority of her snack and just watch TV for the time being although eventually the woman who is the 'guardian' of the two sweet you girls, Shadow Weaver, had told them to take their baths. "But I wanna finish this episode!" Catra whined and Adora had just simply groaned. Shadow Weaver gave Catra a warning glare and I tensed up and went up to Catra to give her a suggestion for while she's taking her bath, that way she doesn't get hurt again. After whispering to her my idea, Catra's face instantly lit up as she nodded her head in agreement to my idea then looked towards Adora and grabbed her hand. "Actually, nevermind, I like bath time!" Catra called as she began to go up the stairs and Adora secretly motioned for me to go with them, and I did as I was told. 

     When we'd gotten upstairs, Catra and Adora had both gone to their rooms to get their pjs and once they had them they'd gone to the bathroom, although Adora had almost begin to take off her shirt before going into the bathroom but I stopped her on time. "Adora, you have t wait until you're in the bathroom." I remind her and she blushed with embarrassment as she rubbed the back of her neck.

     "S-sorry, it just happens sometimes." Adora apologized and I chuckled while kneeling down to her height and shaking her head. 

     "It's alright, Adora." I'd said with a smile and led Adora into the bathroom where Catra had already gotten into the bathtub with the water running, though I figured it was cold considering how much she had been shaking. "Catra, you have to turn the knob all the way to the warm side." I corrected Catra's mistake while Adora took her clothes off and I turned the knob to make the water warmer which then had Catra relax a bit more and stop her shaking. Adora soon dipped herself into the tub and gave a smile to Catra as they began to splash the water crazily, although I didn't mind knowing they are five. 

     As soon as both girls were ready to get cleaned, I told them exactly how to clean them since I couldn't do it myself, although I didn't expect the two to know how to clean themselves so well -er, well, Adora had seemed to have it handled although Catra on the other hand needed help with washing her brunette messy hair but the two worked together to help each other. "Kaede, aren't you going to take a bath?" Adora asked with a beaming expression and I flinched a bit. Of course, I couldn't say no considering that they believe I'm real and so they want me to be clean all the time just like an actual person. 

     I shook my head and waved my hands. "I'll take a bath when you two are asleep." I said a bit shakily as I payed attention to the two girls just to make sure that neither of them make a mess of water on the floor, although I suppose that Adora is also making sure since she had been making sure that she hadn't moved too quickly or harshly in the water -of course Catra had been splashing the water all over and Adora had been the one to calm her down. Eventually once the two had finished their bath and gotten out of the tub, the two girls slipped into their clothes while I tried to help out Adora with buttoning her shirt. "Kaede, there's a cute little owl on my shirt with music notes on its tummy that look like your music note thingies in your hair!" Adora called out as she pointed towards my hairpins. I looked towards the owl on Adora's pjs and gave her a nod and a smile.

     "Yeah, they do look alike." I responded then helped out Catra with buttoning her pjs and she had complained a bit saying that there were some funny looking unicorns on her pjs and that she didn't like them, but Adora had explained that Catra had borrowed her pjs last week and that she had accidentally kept them. "But then why didn't you tell her she had your pjs?" I asked Adora who's face had gone blank until she had shrugged. After that, the girls led me into Catra's room which had been quite the mess I expected. There were crayons everywhere, stuffed toys on the ground and all over the bed, and then there had surprisingly been some pieces of crumbled up or scattered paper on the floor as well. "Catra..." I looked to her with a slight glare and a grin.

     Catra looked up to me with a shrug and another irritated expression. "What?" Catra called and I rolled my eyes as I looked to a giggling Adora. As Catra had walked up to her bed and lied down in it, Adora had lied down beside her and I swear that this was the cutest thing I've seen the two of them do by far. "Kaede, can you tell us a bedtime story?" Catra asked as she put her arms around Adora who held onto her hands, although I tried to think of a story to tell but in truth I didn't know that many good bedtime stories since I don't remember being told any... Or at least, I was never told any since I'm not real.

     Although, I had been coming up with a small story to tell the girls so I decided to go with that one. "Ok, this is a story about two young girls, who were almost like the two of you." I said as I tickled Adora's tummy and then shook Catra's still messy hair. "Now these two girls were different from you two but only because they hated each other." I continued and Catra hugged Adora tighter and Adora squeezed Catra's hands.

(A/N) Going to leave you off here with a small cliffhanger to know how Kaede's story continues and ends! I was going to finish it off yesterday although there were some setbacks here and there so I didn't have much time to finish. 😅 

Also, as you know I have a calendar for which of my stories I will be writing since I have a lot so tomorrow and Saturday will be the last time for early published chapters although you can start/continue reading my other stories while waiting!
