The day was bright and sunny that morning, but of course nobody inside the Mental Hospital was aware of that. Inside those white walls and long corridors all remained the same.

The main door of the room opened and Undyne walked in humming a tune while spinning her ID card with her fingers. She stopped infront of the glass.

     —Mornings, punk.

Sans sat on the edge of the bed with a sad face barely looking at her.

     —Hello, Undyne.

She leaned on the glass and crossed her arms.

     —How are you doing?

The skeleton shrugged. —I've been better, I guess.

—I heard about your brother and the thing with Gaster. I'm sorry mate, I was supposed to keep an eye on you so you wouldn't get hurt but I failed.

—Don't worry, you couldn't have known.

Undyne walked to the glass door and swiped the ID over the scanner to get inside.

—Come with me, Sans. Doctor Toriel wants to talk to you.

The skeleton looked at the open door and then at the fish lady.

—Are you shure that I am allowed to go outside?

     —Totally, trust me.

They walked across the corridors, through the lobby and reached Toriel's office. Undyne knocked the door twice.

—Come in. —Her sweet voice was heard at the other side of the door.

—Doctor Toriel, I brought Sans as you asked me.

—Thank you, Undyne. Please sit down, Sans.

Toriel moved her fingers quickly over the keyboard of her computer and gave final look to her work before smiling.

—Sans, you are diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. You will be taking a medication that we will give you and you must come for your refills. You'll be taking group, occupational and family therapy once a week and for these two months you can't be alone.

     —Wait, am I?

—Yes, dear. Today you become an outpatient.

—But I have no family to come to family therapy with, or to stay with me. I used to live with Papyrus.

     Toriel smiled.

I'm sure the person you are looking for will arrive anytime. In the meantime, here...

She gave him a bag with the clothes he was wearing the day he was admitted and he got behind the curtain to put them on.

Someone knocked the door and Undyne opened it.

Frisk appeared and hugged their friend.

     [I brought you something]

Frsik gave him a knitted rainbow sweater and smiled. It was actually rather ugly and big.

[I made it myself] they signed.

Sans put it on and smiled.

     —I love it!

     [Ready to go?]

     —Go? Where?

—You will be living with us as long as you want. —Said Toriel softly.

    —Really?

     Frisk nodded.

—Wow, I...I don't know what to say. Thank you, really.

—Thanks to you too. Now go and have fun. It's a lovely day outside.

Frisk and Sans left the Hospital and Sans started to get better little by little. He loved sharing room with Frisk and having sleepovers. Sometimes he cried when he remembered Papyrus but there was his friend to comfort him.

One day, Frisk even though they heard the wind whispering a soft "Thank you".
