Chapter 12: Empty

Izuku sat up from the ground, face covered with dirt, clothes and hair soaked with water, and his skin freezing cold.

It was dark, there was little to no light. Panicked, he quickly got up and started to run back to his apartment. He was scared, he thought he was back in that nightmare.

His legs were tired, numb, but he didn't care. He ran, and ran, and ran.

He finally got out of the forest, he was now in the ally way leading up to the city. He started to pant heavily, he was tired of running, and his legs grew weak.

Izuku fell to the floor, eyes big, sweat and rain dripping from his head. He wanted to cry but it wouldn't come out. He couldn't feel his hands, they were so numb.

Suddenly, he heard his stomach growl. He was hungry.

'That's right....I haven't eaten in weeks....'

His stomach started to hurt, he was so fucking hungry. He had to eat something. He NEEDED to eat something.

Finally he made up his mind, and got up. He started to walk through the ally. The trash cans smelled, rats and roaches were seen running. If he had to be honest, the ally was disgusting, it was extremely dirty. But he didn't care, it wasn't his business.

That's when he tripped over a brick. Pain shot through Izuku's body when he hit the ground.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck."

He covered his nose as blood started to come out.

Sure, he liked pain, but not when it's an accident.
Since that pain is unexpected, it hurts so much. He likes when he knows he's giving himself pain. That's what he likes, not this.

He opened his eyes and right in front of him was a wallet. He knew he shouldn't grab it, but....no one was around.

Quickly he grabbed the wallet, and opened it. It was hard to see since it was so dark but he managed to see that there was ¥2,000.

It wasn't much, but it was enough for some food and bandages. He took the money and continued walking through the ally.

He finally got to the store and headed inside, the cashier welcomed him, and he mumbled back, he didn't have the energy to talk.

After he had got the things he needed, he paid and walked out the door.

He didn't know what to do, his legs hurt from running. He just wanted to rest, just wanted to sleep. But he needed to eat.

Drip

Something had hit Izuku in the eye. It was rain....of course it was rain.

"It's raining again, raining...it's always fucking raining."

Annoyed, Izuku walked a bit faster to his apartment. He didn't want to be in the rain, if he hadn't already, he'd get sick. He hates being sick, it makes him feel more useless then he already believes he is.

He finally reached his apartment room, and got inside, took off his shoes and sat at the kitchen table. And almost like every single day, his mom wasn't home.

'She's never home anymore, it's like she's never here when I want her home.'

The apartment was empty, it was always fucking empty.

After he had finished eating he headed into his room. He felt empty, like something was missing, something was weird.

He started to feel angry, he didn't know why, he just started to feel so fucking angry. He wanted to get his anger out, he wanted to release the pain and anger out....

He grabbed his backpack and jumped everything out.

"Where is it?...Where is it?..."

He looked through the pile of text books, looking for it.

Drip

Once again he cut his finger.

"Shit..."

Blood came out of his finger but he didn't care. He picked up the blade and pulled his pants down. He looked at his left thigh and pressed blade onto his thigh.

Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip

Hissing at the pain, he stopped cutting.

'Six cuts this time...'

Blood came out from his thigh, and all his anger disappeared...But the feeling of something missing was still there....

He still felt empty
