DIANE POV:
Camera's shone in her eyes as Diane Wood-Anderson blindly walked down the red carpet alongside her fathers, flashing the most stunning smile in random directions. Mics, cameras and some books with pens were sticking out through the ends of the divider trying to get just one word, one look, one autograph from her but were left disappointed as she swiftly glided past them, not even sparing a glance.
Loud cheers from the crowd were jumbled up into an uneven rush of white noise that gave her comfort. It sure was great to be under the spotlight, where she belonged.
She ran her hand down her gorgeous, red skin tight dress which her stylist gave her just minutes before the event, and walked up the staircase leading to the stage gracefully. One wrong move and she'd be a laughing stock in front of the entire world. But that was about as likely as flying pigs in tutus falling from the sky.
Why? The answer was simple. She was perfect. Someone every girl wanted to be. She made no mistakes.
You must be wondering what's so special about Diane Wood-Anderson? Well she was a stereotypical high-school head cheerleader with a twist. What's the twist you ask? Only that she was the daughter of the Hollywood power couple Anthony and Evan Wood-Anderson.
Due to her fathers' international fame, as soon as she was adopted at the age of 12, she was the centre of attention everywhere. She became the most popular girl in school, the talk of the press, she even appeared on multiple magazine covers.
Some people hated the thought of having their every moved watched by the observant eyes of the world, heck even her dads wanted to keep her existence a secret, but not Diane. She loved the attention. It made her feel powerful.
"So Miss Diane, how does it feel to have two of the most famous celebrities in Hollywood as parents?" A strong, intrusive voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She wasn't surprised to find herself on a plush, purple sofa without even thinking about where she was going. She was naturally drawn to the attention, it was just an instinct.
"Dreadful. It's incredibly annoying to have everything in the world." She joked charmingly, twirling a lock of wavy blonde hair around finger, earning a laugh from the audience and the interviewer. This was a piece of cake.
"So Mr. Evan and Anthony Wood-Anderson, first of all I would like to congratulate you both on your incredible success with your new charity 'The Wood-Anderson Foundation', which has already allowed over 12,000 children access to education." The interviewer clapped as a loud cheer erupted from the crowd.
All that was forgotten rather quickly though when he began to drone on about some rumors going on about one of her dads having an affair or something. So basically the routine. She just sat there, smiling and nodding, agreeing to whatever her Dad's said.
Before she knew it, they were walking into the Limousine that was literally always waiting outside for them.
"Excited for Sophomore year of high-school tomorrow?" Her Pops broke the comfortable silence that had been building up, as he relaxed himself against a cushion. He helped himself to a Perrier from the mini-fridge placed next to him.
"Sure." She mumbled, only half listening to what he was saying. She was too focused on texting her boyfriend, Brandon.
Brandon(11:30PM): Can't wait to finally c u again babe <3 <3 <3
Me(11:30PM): We saw each other yesterday!!😂
Brandon(11:31PM): That feels like 1000 yrs ago... imy... 😢 😢 😢

Brandon(11:31PM): K gn
Me(11:31PM): Good Night
Diane had only started dating Brandon Hayes for maintaining her status as the Queen Bee in school. The hottest boy added with her celebrity status made her absolutely untouchable. But she had to admit, she was starting to have real feelings for him. After all, even though she never admitted it to anyone, Brandon was her first real boyfriend. He made her feel special and sexy, in a different way from the cheers of the crowd and the spotlight. It was really hard to explain.
Suddenly a pair of arms loosely wrapped themselves around her shoulders.
"Our baby is growing up so fast!" Her Dad whined.
"Ugh, stop calling me that." She rolled her eyes as she tried to escape his grasp.
"Ant! Stop hogging our daughter, I wanna join too!" Her pops said as she was now sandwiched between the two of them.
"You guys are so embarrassing!" She shrieked trying to escape, giving in with an annoyed groan when it was clear neither of them planned to budge.
Eventually her lip curled slightly upwards as both her fathers fussed over her. Even she couldn't resist their charm. Plus it wasn't completely unpleasant having people who loved you, hopefully no matter what...
