(y/n) POV:

"So basically, the Team is psyched to meet you. Probably Wally most." Dick sighed with a tired look on his face.

I had known about the Team since Dick Co founded it with his friends. The only member I didn't know much about was Artemis, their new archer. All I knew was that Wally was bitter it wasn't Roy.

"Robin b-01, Jay b-09." The zeta tube announced our arrival. I immediately noticed a red blur speeding over to us.

"Rob! Jay! You're finally joining the team, good. I want you to meet my future girlfriend." Wally talked animatedly while gesturing to a green skinned girl who was obviously uncomfortable with this statement.

The green girl still waves looking happy to see another new person. Aqualad gave me a nod of acknowledgement and the black haired boy grunted.

A stunning blonde girl with sharp features slapped him on the back of the head while apologizing for him.

"He's just an idiot." She stated while holding her hand out to me, "Nice to meet you Jay, it's great to have another girl on the team."

Her handshake was firm and her hands were warm but not at all sweaty.

I couldn't exactly help blushing at the sudden contact. Dick looked at me with a smirk, already realizing my crush.

Time Skip {Artemis and Jay have known each other for about 8 months, they're partners in the business and are on an undercover mission involving a meta human trafficking lab}

"So Dr. Crock, what's your verdict." I grinned at my close friend and long time crush.

She grinned right back, "My dear Dr. (l/n), I believe we have some kids to save." She took off her white lab coat revealing her green hero costume and bow.

"God I love you." Artemis stopped moving completely and looked at me shocked. It just slipped out. In her moment of distraction a man has a gun pointed at her. I ran using my enhanced speed, picked her up, and ran as far away as we could.

Noticing the kids we got them out safely, always putting business first. After the mission was done Artemis pulled me to the side, and said we should talk about what I said.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, but, I don't regret it. I'm in love with you Artie." She smirked and looked me in the eyes.

"Just getting confirmation." Was all I heard before she kissed me passionately.
