A/n: It's a proposal fic! Also, Wally's not dead here because I still haven't gotten over him. I love the idea, also, later today I'll update "your past, our future". Like I said earlier PSATS are killing me, but I'm slowly coping. Also, I'm thinking of joining the academic decathlon team like Peter, buuuut, I'm already on debate team so IDK. HOCO was last night, it was pretty chill, someone spiked the lemonade of all things, so that was super fun.

(y/n) POV:

Today was the day. It's me and Conner's 9th anniversary. We've been together since about a year after I joined the team. Back when it was just me, Dick, M'gann, Kaldur, Artemis, Wally, and Conner.  Zatanna sometimes hung out as well. I took on the mantle of 'Aqua Girl' because of my cousin Kaldur's insistence, original, I know. 

Currently, I'm baking Conner some special dog treats for Wolf. They're peanut butter flavored. Not going to lie, they smell pretty good. 

"Hey (y/n)! Todays the special day right?" M'gann cheerily greeted me. At first, she was sad that Conner didn't love her back, but it's been nine years. Now we're close friends and she's engaged to La'gaan. Sometimes their sickly sweet romantic moments make me nauseous. 

Conner and I aren't big on PDA. If some other guy is flirting with me he'll sometimes dip me into a passionate kiss until they leave us alone. Which, personally, I think makes a very enjoyable evening. 

"Right you are M'gann. I'm pretty excited, after I finish these dog treats for Wolf I'll get dressed into something a bit fancier. Conner's taking me out for dinner." I smiled softly thinking of a nice evening with Conner. 

He's usually very sweet and I could stare into his eyes for a millennium. They remind me of Atlantis with how blue they are... I finished Wolf's treats and put them into a doggy bag, which I tied with a nice red ribbon.

I then said goodbye to M'gann and left up to my room. I got changed into a dark red v-neck dress. The front was fairly short, with an elegant floor-length trail. Since it had a v-neck you could see my pale gills on both sides of my neck. 

I then applied makeup, not too much, keeping it natural. I then walked down the stairs to see Conner standing there, waiting, with a bouquet of lavender roses. He was wearing a dapper tux and looked very handsome.

"Shall we go?" Conner prompted with a small smile. He held out his arm and we walked to a ferry. "You look absolutely stunning." He said with an enchanted look on his face.

"(y/n)?" He asked.

"Yes, Conner?"

He got down on one knee, my eyes started to tear up.

"Will you marry me?" He asked, hopeful.

"Of course!" I lept down to give him a huge hug. The other people on the ferry that witnessed it started clapping. We were laughing and crying, it was the most memorable night of my life.
