Song of the chapter: Freak - Silverchair Check it out. Silverchair was a great Australian rockband. It is a shame they stopped.

London looked beautiful this time of the year. Trees hidden under layers of snow, cozy lights everywhere and everyone is in a positive mood, hoping that this year will treat them better than the last one did.
The only disturbing thing were the firework boxes and wrappers laying around on the streets waiting to be picked up.
But other than that, London looked like a winter wonderland. While making my way to Starbucks I spot a little girl playing in the snow, snowflakes in her brown curly hair and her emerald green eyes shining from joy, having the time of her life.
When I enter Starbucks a warmth surrounds me which overwhelms me and makes me crinkle my noise a little bit.
After I shook my head, in a pathetic attempt of getting the snowflakes out of my hair, I start walking towards the queue to stand in line. I take my phone out of my pocket and click the home button so it would show the current time.
I have another 20 minutes until my shifts starts. That means that I can take my time, without having to rush things.
'Rose' a nice lady, named Jenn according to her name tag, called, 'Your order is ready.'
She gave me a sweet smile while handing me the cup with Caramel hot chocolate, which I eagerly took from her giving her a thankful nod.
When I step outside the cold hits my warm and slightly blushed cheeks, making me shiver and resulting in me pulling my beanie down so it would cover my ears fully.
I decided I would walk to work, enjoying the winter for as long as it would last.
It was only a ten minute walk, so when I arrived I was five minutes early.
Luckily the heat was on and I wouldn't have to freeze to death the up coming six hours. When I noticed who was behind the register my lips turned into a big smile, "Uncle Nick!' I nearly shouted.
The moment he looks up he started to laugh. I've known Nick my entire life, he's been friends with my dad since they were eleven, so no he isn't really my uncle but he's a very close friend of the family.
It was quite weird having such a good friend as a boss, but it also assured me he wouldn't fire me the first time I would be late. Or if I needed a favor, as in a day off, I would most likely get it.
'Are you excited for your first day of college tomorrow?' Nick asks me when I pull my work shirt over my head.
It was a plain black shirt with red letters spelling 'Epic Heroes', it was nothing spectacular but it went well with my black skinny jeans and low cut boots.
'I guess, I'll be the new girl considering I am joining in the middle of the school year. And you know me, I have no interest to be in the spotlights. I just hope my roommate will be nice. It would be just my luck if the girl I'll be replacing was her best friend or something' I answered him.
He chuckled. 'Don't worry sweetie, you'll be just fine.' while giving me a reassuring smile. I gave him a small smile back before turning around to look at the customer who just walked in.
His back was turning towards me, his black hair was the first thing I noticed. I liked it, it was different.
When he turned around I recognized him, he came here quite often, only his hair used to be green and he didn't had the eyebrow piercing before, at least I don't remember it being there.
When he caught me staring he smiles and nods as a greeting. I smile back and turn around to continue my work.
After a while he rings the bell at the register to let me know he made his decision.
I walk towards it, and take the item he handed me to see that it's 'The witch hunter' while scanning the DVD I tell him he will most definitely like the game.
He looks at me with twinkling lights of amusement in his green eyes and hands me the money.
'Michael, hurry we're going to be late!' a voice from outside yells. 'Well then Michael, you better hurry.'
I chuckle and give him the bag, 'Enjoy the game!' I start to make my way back to where I was when I hear him cough 'So are you going to tell me your name now you know mine, or not?' he stammered.
I figured since I'll never see him again I would give him a cheeky answer, 'Or not.' I say with a smirk before letting out a small chuckle and walking away.
The rest of the day went by quite fast, It was my last shift for at least two weeks. Just to make sure I'm settled in at campus before going back to work.
I finished dinner and went upstairs to pack my things. I couldn't stop thinking about how nervous I am and how much attention I will be getting for the next few weeks.
I am not sure if I'm ready. Not at all.
While over thinking every scenario that could possibly happen, I slowly fell into a deep but restless sleep.
