Sam POV
I opened my eyes to my pink ceiling curtesy of Elton. I sigh and get up, doing my morning routine with nervous energy. Today was the day. The day I confess to Colby Brock, my best friend and crush of eight years. I feel like I've kept it in for far too long, kept up a mask for public eye, in fear of what people might say.

But I'm done with that. I'm done with pretending what I'm not. I'm ready to take off my mask and show my true colors. Of course, the roommates know about my crush and they have a secret themselves that their ready to tell when I do.

I go downstairs to the kitchen to get some food and find out where Colby is, when I see a small piece of paper taped to the counter with a small cup beside it. I pick up the paper and start reading it, my eyes widening as I read.

"Hey what do you have there?" My bearded friend Elton asked walking up with the rest of our friends. I gave him the note, tearing up from what I had just read. The note gets passed along until everyone has read it, and I couldn't help notice that everyone is tearing up as well.

"How can Colby just be...gone. I don't understand." My blue haired friend named Kat asked, trying to carefully wipe her eyes so none of her make up gets messed up.

"Wait...who was the last person to talk to Colby and how long ago was that?" My brunette haired friend name Aaron asked. We all looked at each other frowning, realizing how long it has actually been since we talked to our friend.

"Uhhh dude, what should we do? He could be pretty far by now." My friend who has a brown hair bun, Corey asked.

"We look at all the possible places here and then decide after that." I told them, all of us racing out the door.
