Colby POV
I look around, scanning the area as I climb, memorized by the beautiful sight. The sun was getting close to becoming a sunset and basking everything in its almost reddish light. I smile and continue, excited that I'm finally almost to the top. Thankfully no one else is here, so there is no one to stop me when I finally take the final step to becoming an angel.
I smiled and picked up my pace, excited and finally after a couple more minutes, reached the very top of the Grand Canon, enjoying the sunset smiling. I stood there for a couple of minutes until a voice next to me said,"It's beautiful isn't it?" I looked over to see a guy standing next to me in all white clothes with his white wings spread out, smiling at me.
I nodded and looked back out, breathing in deeply then letting it out, content. I heard him chuckle and smiled, feeling completely peaceful as I look out into the distance.
"Are you ready my child?" The angel asked and I nodded, smiling as he nodded as well.
"Then take that final step." He said so I did, closing my eyes.
