The Elimination Round

I wake up to the yelling of Julia "WHAT! THEY KIDNAPPED HER?" I look around to see I was in the Honeybone inn. Natsu seamed to be explaining why we were late. I sit up in bed and rub my eyes childishly "That's not what happened!" I say defending Sting and Rogue they didn't do anything bad except be mean towards Natsu but we all knew he wouldn't let them get to him. "Then what happened?" Erza asks wanting to know my side of the story." Their was a fight and Natsu, Happy, Me and Lucy ran off to see it. I fell behind and began to feel tired I got a little dizzy and fell but then Sting cough me as I started to fall. He took me to were every one was and ran into Natsu, it all went down hill from there." I explain and look at Julia "That! My friend is the difference between kidnapping and helping someone out."She rolls her eyes at me and I stick my tongue at her she rises a index finger to her eye and pulls at the bottom of her eyelid sticking her tough out at me as she does. HOW RUDE!!!! I give her a glare and she smirks in victory. I hear a knock on the door and Elfman and Lisanna walk in carrying drinks and junk food. "Hey, We brought treats!" Cheered Elfman happily as he carries a box of beer. ( No thank!! ) "Tomorrow's the big day!" Says Lisanna excitedly as she carries a bag of junk food. "Lisanna, Elfman!" I say and hop out of the bed rushing over to give them a hug. I give Lisanna a hug as she puts down her bag she giggles as she sees me so happy to see her and bends down to returns the hug I let go and rush to Elfman. I give him a huge as well and he laughs and he notices I can't give him a full huge we was to buff. He lifts me up and I rap my arms around his neck finding an alternative. He smiles and puts me down and I walk back to the bed and wrap a blanket around myself feeling cold and drag it with me across the floor as I go to sit beside Erza. I plop next to her and she smiles at me I give her a closed eyed smile back and lean against her using her shoulder as a pillow as I listen. "Are you guys gonna watch the Grand Magic Games, too?!" Natsu asks Elfman as they start to lay beer and chips out. "Yea. To be honest, I wanted to be in it myself and show off for Lisanna and Mira. But giving up is also a Man!" Elfman answers as he finishes helping Lisanna open a can of chip dip. "Me too." I say as I think about how disappointed I was I couldn't be in it. Everyone turned toward me surprised. "What?" I ask "I didn't think you were the tip who wanted to fight in competitions." Erza says surprised. "If it's for Fairy Tail I'd enter every year by myself!" I say being honest. Every one smiles at me as they hear this and I smile back and I look at each one of them one by one. Wait. My smile turns toward a frown as I notice some one very important was missing. "What's wrong?" Elfman asks as he cracks a beer bottle open and drinks up. "Where's Wendy?" I ask looking around the room as if we we're playing hide and seek. "She'll be late! If she doesn't get hear soon!" I say worried. "DING DONG!" goes the clock as it strikes 12 o clock. We all stare at the clock shocked. "Whats gonna happen?! asks Natsu I look around expecting something to jump out at us the sound of the clock feels like it rung through the whole town making it sound empty and hollow. I jump and give a shrike of shock as a voice rings through the town as the clock ends. "Everyone in the guilds who have gathered together for the Grand Magic Games! Good morning!" I groan "You call this morning?" I say taking to no one in particular. "Wheres that coming from?" asks Lisanna as she looks around the room. "Outside?!" Said Erza we all run out onto the patio and stop in our tracks as we see what's in the center of town. "What the hell is that?! It's huge!" shouts Natsu probably saying what half the town was thinking. I say nothing as a gigantic three-dimensional image of a man wearing a yellow and red striped shirt and black pants. Who also was wearing a green cape, white gloves and well a gigantic pumpkin on his head hiding his face. "Beginning now, we're going to take the 114 participating guilds and have a elimination round to pare them down to eight!" Says the pumpkin man as he starts to do a odd dance and talk in a sing song voice. "Elimination round! We were never told of this!" Says Erza as she watches the image. "Every year, the number of participating guilds increases and it was pointed out that the events were going stale. This year, there will be only eight teams competing in the official games. The elimination rules are simple!" Continues and pumpkin as your Hotel starts to shake and lift up in the air. I watch as other hotels of most likely other guilds rises as well I see five figures fall from one of the hotels. Make that 113 guilds. "All of you are going to race each other. The goal is to make it to the Grand Magic Games arena! The first eight to arrive will go one.( Wooden steps start to appear leading into a gigantic ball in the sky.) You're free to us your magic. There are no restrictions. But remember, only the first eight teams to get to the goal will survive this round. However, all five members must arrive together or it doesn't count! And one more thing we take no responsibility for any lives lost in the labyrinth." Says the pumpkin man and disappears fading away. I look at the spot he stood and one sentence repeats in my head. "We take no responsibility for any lives lost." I wonder if anyone will die in this game? "YOU BITCH, YOUR GONNA LET PEOPLE DIE JUST TO PLAY YOUR DAMN GAME!" shouts Julia and for once I agree with her.
