Lou's backstory / realization

Molly looked at Lou confused.

Molly—What do you want to talk about Lou?

She asked a little worried.

Lou—Well, Molly...we've known each other for months and I'm really glad that someone like you came into my life. You are actually...one out of every other dolls who cares about me, but...I don't want to build a friendship based on secrets. You don't really know the real me, so I think...time for you know who I truly am.

Molly looked worried, but she eyes were sparkling, because she is about to find out about Lou's backstory. Before Lou could speak, he took a deep breath, hoping and praying that this won't go wrong and began.

Lou—Well...I guess it all started years ago when I was made. I just got to perfection at that time from the doll factory, so I was alone. I was made just a few moments ago, only being told my name and my occupation as a model. And I knew my purpose, that I have to serve as a doll and make a child happy...at least that what I thought.

Molly looked at him confused again. She didn't understand what he meant. But before she could ask him, he continued.

Lou—Then I noticed the portal, that leads you to the Big World. I felt so excited, so I tried to go through, but...it didn't work. The portal felt like a wall to me. My hand wouldn't go through- as if a barrier was blocking my way.

Molly—Wait, what? I...I don't understand, all the dolls can enter the portal and you're a doll too, so why couldn't you go through?

Lou—Because...because I'm not a real doll, Molly.

Molly—W...what do you mean?

Molly asked him with a worried and confused look. Lou sighed sadly and continued.

Lou—What I mean is...I'm actually a prototype...

Molly looked shocked. Now she knows the reason why he is stack here.

Lou—And prototypes are not meant for public consumption, so I was never allowed to go to the Big World. So I was forced to stay here and to help them being the perfect doll they can be and I guided the all other pretty dolls through the portal. It went like that for years and there is not every single day that I don't feel like a prisoner here, but then one day...Ox came to the institute.

Molly—Ox? You mean...the green ugly doll bunny? The mayor of Imperfection?

Molly asked him surprised

Lou—Yes and I welcomed him to the Institute of Perfection. You see Molly, believe it or not the doll factory always created the perfect dolls for each child, but the ugly dolls like you were always sent to recycling.

Molly—What???!!!

Molly asked with a shocked look on her face.

Lou—It's true and I thought that Ox would be that one friend who would stay with me, because I was tired of losing people. But he just like everyone else just wanted to go to the Big World and have a child to love. He was just so eager to leave...to leave me. I guess, that's when I snapped. I turned all the pretty dolls against him, to make him feel like he didn't belong here and then I send him away. And I'm guessing that that was the moment were Ox decided to create Uglyville, where reject, ugly dolls like you and Ox could live safe, but this wasn't the end of it. I completely changed since then, I failed to get close to anyone after that. Simply, my whole "I care about you and hope to help you achieve your goals" persona was fake. All I wanted was their adulation and attention. That feeling of  "love" was my fuel to keep going. I didn't care for any of them and I never loved anyone, besides the fact that I was a self centered and only loved myself, it was because that no one could truly love me. They would always just leave me and forget about me, so no...I never really knew what love really is. I became this narcissistic psychopath with no remorse for my own actions. Manipulative, that's what I was. I lied and tricked everyone, until Moxy and your other friends got here a few years later. They were ready to train here to go to the Big World. So, I did some pretty terrible stuff. I literally went insane, just to keep up my "perfect" empire. I tried to get rid of them, I brought Ox back to tell them the ugly truth about who they are. They would broken after that, but Moxy would never give up and Mandy betrayed me. So I tried to...I...I tried to...recycle them.
