I hide all my pain
Behind a smile
A smile that's just too wide
It has been for a while
Only one person
Can see through my mask
"Are you okay?"
Every day he'll ask
I blink and smile
Nodding my head
"I'm fine" I say
Truthfully, I'd rather be dead
He takes my hands
And looks in my eyes
"Tell me the truth"
My body turns to Ice
The tears start to fall
As he holds me tight
Calming me down
Convincing me to fight
Soon, I'm asleep
Exhausted as hell
He kisses my forehead
"I love you as well"
