Since the dawn of time, two kingdoms have been at each others throats and rivalled each other in any aspect. No one ever got along with each other as they were sworn enemies to the point anyone on either side will be banished from their kingdom just by simply being seen talking  to a citizen of the opposite side.

However, two never listened to these rules that found rather obnoxious. These two were the ones expected to listen to the rules the most. After all, they were the princes.

Virgil and Roman never let the rivalry get between them, granted it got to Virgil a few times but roman managed to show him that they don't have to be like the rest of their ancestors.

Why don't I tell you about the first time they met at just the age of 9...

Roman's POV

Mum and I went around the market, looking at all the fabrics the people were selling. My gold crown felt heavy on my head and my red velvet shirt felt lightly itchy.I want to just go to room and paint. Mum was chatting with a seller when my sleeve was tugged. Looking to my left I saw my brother with his infamous smirk that always meant chaos.

"Catch me if you can!" he whisper-yelled as he started to run after he finished the sentence. Never being one to lose, I dashed after him. We left behind our clueless mother as I continued to chase my brother.

Bumping into people as we sped by, I realised where we were headed. Slowing down my running to a stop, I yelled to Remus. "We're not allowed to go in there! Muma says it's dangerous!" I screamed.  Remus looked over his shoulder but didn't cease his running.

"Don't be a wimp, RoRo!" He bellowed as he ventured past a line of trees. The place we weren't allowed to go to was a deep forest that stretched on for miles, on the other side was the kingdom of fear. My kingdom was the kingdom of Fortis, sworn enemies.

Remus' figure disappeared beyond the trees. He went out of my sight and instantly I felt little hairs on my arms stand up. Remus' words danced in my head. I'm not a wimp.

Running through the trees I managed to catch up to the point my brother was in sight. Panting hard, I stopped running and bent over with my hands on my knees. I was exhausted from all the running and wondered how he didn't see his brother stop yet too. Speak of the devil, his naturally loud laugh carried through the trees until it became a whisper.  uh oh

My whipped around to try spot him but he was gone. Not even the sound of his footsteps or rustling leaves could be heard, only the soft breeze that travelled east. I got scared, I'm all alone in a forest that I'm not allowed to enter that is right next to a kingdom I have heard many bad stories about.

I called for my twin but there was no luck. He never responded to my calling so I assumed he was out of range.  Trembling, I tried to retrace my steps but I soon discovered that I've gone too far in to find my way back. I was lost and so was my brother.

All I wanted to do was cry until I felt a chilly breeze rush past me. looking up I saw a trail of purple petals being carried in the wind. I  felt my body moving and before I knew it I was following these petals as I was all out of ideas.

I kept following till the petals landed in a clearing. However it wasn't just any normal clearing...

There was a grand tree with crystal like leaves as it's crown. It was taller then any other tree in the forest and was positively stunning...but that wasn't all. There was a boy of black and purple by the base of the tree who sat cross legged with something in his lap but I as too far away to see. I had the urge to get to know him so I started to walk forward.
