The wind whispered a song as it ventured it's way through the trees that stand tall in the vast forest. A little house was lost far into the land, hiding from all the others in the kingdom.

The house was a tad bit run down but had everything a person needed to live. Proven by the boy with yellow hair and a scaly face.

There was a old folks tale, a legend per say, of a women with snakes for hair. A women with the power to turn to anyone who looks into her eyes... to stone. To her, it's not a power, it's a curse. A curse she couldn't get away from when she was hunted for ability.

A curse that she gave to her son. Something she wishes never had happened. He may have been the result of a man who took advantage of her but... she loved him with her whole heart, soul and body. She didn't want her son to hide like her, she didn't want to him to constantly look over his shoulder at every small sound. She wanted him to have a normal life, but nothing ever goes right for her.

Deceit's POV /Janus

I groaned as I heard a racket downstairs. Rolling out the bed, I went to investigate. The noise got louder as I went down to find my mother in the kitchen, the noise being that she was trying to cook. Key word; trying.

I walked over and took the pan from her hands. "Told you to stay away from the kitchen, don't want to burn the house down now, do we?" I teased. Regretted it soon enough however when my mum hit me on the back of the head. "Owww, sorry." I apologised as I rubbed the back of my head.

"Damn well should be, young man." she smiled. The snakes on her head where tied back behind her in a low pony tail, they were sleeping so I guess that means mum is still half asleep. By the look of the bags under her droopy eyes, I could tell I was right. Weird thing about her is that you can tell how she feels by the snakes on her head.

Probably why majority of the legends show them angry or scared.

"Why don't you go back upstairs, I can cook." I pleaded.

"Okay... still don't get how you can, I never taught you." She yawned.

"Can't teach me either."

Smack.

Remus' POV

Booorrrinnnngggggg.

I was currently at the dining table while the rest of my family talked. Oh HoW iS tRaInG GoInG? HaVe YoU FoUnD aNyOnE YeT? LoVelY wEaThEr ToDay!

Kill me. I pushed around my food, listening to the clanking noises my fork made when it occasionally missed the food and hit the plate, while Roman blabbed on about this show he saw. Apparently he is my twin yet I don't see the resemblance.

"Remus! Don't play with your food." My father chirped. I dropped my fork and stood up, pushing back my chair.

"I'm heading out, this is boring as the theatre." I yawned as I started to walk away with Roman's shouting being quietened by our parents. I shooed away the guards behind me that were meant to escort me when I heard their loud footsteps.

Walking down the hall, maids went to left and to the right to get out my way. The front get creaked open as I strode through. Instantly I felt a cold breeze hit over my face. I kept walking as I knew the kingdom like the back of my butt cheek.

 Third view POV

Remus walked with no destination as he just tried to get as far as he can away from the place. Hoping to find somewhere that's not  boring.

He didn't realise that he had just stepped into a whole new area he has never been too until he heard a snap of a branch under his foot. He lifted his head and took a deep breathe. He smelt pine and cleaner air.
