-Robin POV-

“It does seem reasonable, Robin, but why would he hide himself away like that?” Cyborg asked as I grabbed the book, 10 stories you didn't know were true.

“According to this, he hid from the public so that shame wouldn't come to his kingdom. Somehow showing his face would cause all kingdoms to despise ours. And only the representatives we elect are able to see him but are immediately sworn to secrecy.”

Raven rolled her eyes, “You know that they only make those books to make money Robin. They aren't actually true.”

Starfire raised her hand, “I believe friend Robin. It does seem that whoever we choose, their methods of leadership are similar. Very little has changed unless it was the necessary.” I smiled glad she defended me.

Cyborg was on a computer and looked up. “I think that this might just be real. There's a large area of the forest that my computers have never been able to read. Mabie that’s where his castle is.”

I smiled again because we now had a lead as well as an excuse for being there. Raven just looked at us her face emotionless. “You want to look check that area out don’t you?” We all nodded. “I guess I can’t stop you. But I’m not gonna waste my time by going.”

I sighed knowing that we could have done well with her magic on our side. “Alright, but you’re missing out. Every piece of evidence we have goes to say that this is real.”

She just glared, “I’m not wasting my time just to prove that we have been under the rule of a supreme being. Even if it does end up being true, he’d probably...”

“It’s settled then. We’ll go investigate, while you stay here. We’ll bring you a little filmage to prove that it’s there.”

She stood. “Fine I’ll be my room.”

She left while the three of us began to plan what the best way to go about it was. For the first time ever, we were gonna prove Raven wrong.

The next day-

Leon. I know that you’re new at this and told you not to do anything extreme without my approval, but I’ve told you multiple times that I don’t need to approve marriages. The only time approval is necessary is if one or both is under 18.”

Our newest representative, Leon Ferin, blushed hiding behind his clipboard. “I know sir, but this certain marriage concerns me. They may be both over 18, but their families were sworn enemies for generations.”

“Then this could mend the rift. If it doesn’t work out then it’s their own fault. Plus, if they want to get married, even with their families hating each other, then it shows that their love is just that more true. Plus, who am I to stand in the way of love birds.”

My most trusted representative, Annon Smith (There’s 5 of them. They only get replaced if one proves untrustworthy, the people don’t like him/her, or they die), put a hand on my shoulder. “Don’t worry sir. He’s just getting used to the fact that we have a king rather than a president. He’s only been here for a month or so.”

‘More like he’s still getting used to the fact that a monster rules over everyone.’ I thought sighing. But what I said was. “You’re right. If there isn’t anything else, I was in a really good chapter of my book.” The others, including Max Bartram, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor, looked at each other as if asking if there was anything else, which there wasn't. “Alright. See you all next week Tuesday. Same time, same room, you all know the drill.”

I stood up and began to gather the papers together the others doing the same. As soon as they all left and the door closed, I let out a huge sigh of relief. “Being a King is so overrated.” I groaned, putting the new files away.

Then I fell silent. I heard children laughing in the courtyard below and smiled. The staff were free to go in and out of the palace grounds as they pleased so long as they never spoke of me and completed everything they needed to, so naturally some of them brought back wives or husbands respectively and began to have children. Some went to work and live in the village after that. But if they wanted to, I let them and their children stay. The children couldn’t go past the Palace grounds so they wouldn’t get hurt or tell anyone where the castle is, but having them here brings more life to this otherwise dead castle.

The parents that stayed remained responsible for their children and were to keep them out of trouble, while the ones that went to the village were replaced by random homeless people or widows in random villages and towns.

I went down to see them and as soon as they saw me came running. “Beast King! Beast King!” They would call me.

I pretended to be mad as they approach “Now what do you think you’re doing?” they stopped looking scared. “I told you many times, it’s Beast Boy. And playing around like this?” Then I smirked “It almost makes me feel like you don’t want to play guess that animal.”

They laughed and cheered. Most of the children were 4 years old or younger, but The 3 and 4 year olds loved to guess what animal I turn into. Sometimes I give them pony or even cheta rides. I’m glad I can have these Children's approval. But I would like to have someone closer my age to hang out with.
