-Raven POV-

I closed the door to let Beast Boy sleep and walked down the halls the two servants starting a conversation. "Thank you so much Mis. Raven." Miss Busher said smiling.

"It's no problem. It's my fault he's like this anyway."

Ethan Miller: "May be so, but that does not make us any less thankful. We don't know what we'd do without our king. And you saved his life after he saved yours."

Me: "You're right. But we should probably get more medical supplies just in case this happens again. It could be worse next time and painkillers are almost a necessity with wounds as serious as that. As well as restocking on bandages."

We fell silent before Miss Busher spoke up again, "Mis Raven, I do believe that there are some things that you should know about Beast Boy. He didn't tell you the whole truth back there."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"When he said that his life was never the same since. It's true but not in the way most would interpret it. But let's explain over a nice cup of herbal tea. It may take awhile."

"You ladies go on. I must go dust all the candlestick holders before dinner is served. Plus, you know the story much more than I do Mademe Busher."

We went our separate ways and Miss Busher made a pot of herbal tea for the two of us to drink. "What do you mean by it wasn't the way most would interpret it? Gaining powers will change anyone's life."

She nodded, "Correct. But getting his powers was a mere hill compared to the mountain he would Climb soon after."

"I'm listening." I said sipping my tea.

She began, "The master wasn't always alone. He grew up as if he was a normal kid despite his royal blood. Getting into mischief, going to school, playing with his friends, he never used his genealogy to get out of bad situations."

"How do you know all of this?" I asked genuinely curious.

"Not everyone forgot about our king. It is only people middle aged and younger that may excuse it as a story. Others simply don't talk about it while still wondering why he shut himself up in the castle. I was living in the village he went to school in along with my husband before Chip was born. Saw him running around with his friends. He was always happy and performed random acts of kindness on occasion."

I nodded, "I guess I see that. Keep going."

She sipped her tea. "I don't know this next part for sure, but I do believe that when the green monkey came, he let his friends escape while he lead the beast away getting bitten in the process.

"He became deathly ill. His friends weren't allowed to see him as they may also get sick. He was the only heir to the throne, so the entire kingdom was desperate for him to be healed considering his parents could not have any more children of their own. Eventually, someone came in contact with a mage of Azarath..." I nearly choked on my tea when I heard that but managed to keep it unnoticed and continued to pay attention. "... And begged her to heal their prince. It was a blessing for the entire kingdom when she decided to help."

She took a sip of tea before continuing, "I, nor the rest of the kingdom knew this at the time, but the only way she could heal him was to also give him the ability to turn into any animal that walked on earth and he also became green. But with the price of some valuables she also granted many wardrobes of all different kinds of clothing that will melt into his transformation and that he will never grow out of.

"Once he could control his ability, for the most part, he was ecstatic to show his friends. But no one could have expected their reaction. They were completely and utterly disgusted by his green appearance even more so by his morphing abilities. Needless to say, a few friendships ended that day."

"They ended their friendship just because he got a new look and powers?" I asked shocked to receive a nod from Miss Busher. "They don't seem like very good friends if you ask me."

She shook her head. "They definitely weren't. But they were a big part of his world. Them leaving caused his big heart to shatter. He refused to leave the castle grounds and took up homeschooling. Thankfully, about two years later he agreed to go out for a short movie night with his parents. We were all glad he was opening up."

She sipped her tea while I was at the edge of my seat.

"Just a warning, the story is about to get a bit dark." I nodded telling her to go on. "On the way back from the theater, I still don't know why they didn't drive, a man stopped their path. He began to demand things of them threatening them with a gun. They had their son run away as a rat unnoticed by the man.

"But Beast Boy didn't run, he hid. Watching the scene. His parents refused to give the man what he wanted. So they were both assassinated right before his eyes."

I was doing everything I could to keep my powers under control at this point as my eyes began to tear up.

"The man dropped the gun and ran off with his parents jewelry and wallets. Beast Boy tried to help them, but it was to late for them both. After loosening his friends and then his parents, it was enough to make the poor boy snap. He stopped people from being able to visit the castle. The man was put under life imprisonment as the now King Beast Boy still did not have the heart to sentence anyone to death. Everything changed. And nothing could be done to fix his broken heart. I am told from staff that worked here before then that he refused to come out of his room or eat for a week before hunger finally got the best of him and accepted small meals still not coming out of his room for at least two months."

A vase nearby exploded and I had to remind myself to control my magic.

"He was made King far to early in his life. He grew up much to fast. He still is a Miraculous king, but we all still see that little boy in him. Longing for someone close to his age to call a friend. I'm surprised he didn't go insane with all the trauma he had to go through."

I took deep breaths to keep my magic under control before responding, "Thank you for telling me this. I will keep it in mind when around him."

She smiled, "Thank you for listening."

I excused myself and went straight to my room to meditate. I couldn't let my magic get out of control even if the story was that much of an emotional rollercoaster. I won't be surprised if I'll be meditating till dinner after hearing it.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos. Azarath Metrion Zinthos." This was gonna be an interesting stay.
