Sunday had come and gone, leaving Monday with the memories made that day. Just like Monday had arrived, the beginning of the school week had too. Nugget had woken up early to prepare, which was hard since it was warm under the covers with Felix. Nugget pulled on some fresh winter clothes and searched for coats, finding his own was easy but Nugget's main concern was finding one for Felix to wear. After some searching, he did find an old one that Felix could wear and walked over to shake his Soulmate awake.

"Ummn....no......"

"Wake up, Nugget and his Soulmate have to arrive at school!"

"Won't it be cold?"

"The temperatures have dropped, but Nugget is prepared."

"I don't want to get up...." Felix rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. When he heard Nugget's footsteps fade away he was surprised that he would let him sleep in. Just as he was about to drift off again the covers were pulled back.

"Nugget and his Soulmate have to be at school." Nugget pulled on the second coat on his Soulmate Felix was going to protest, but just let it happen, mostly since he was too sleepy to care.

"Isn't a long walk to school?"

"It's a bit far, but Nugget arrives on time everyday."

"I don't want to walk....."

"You won't. Nugget will carry his Soulmate."

Nugget finished putting the coat on and wrapped a blanket around Felix.

"He will have to climb the ladder by himself though,"

Nugget got his backpack and gestures to the ladder. Felix tiredly rubs his eyes and makes his way up to the surface.

The earth was covered in a powdery blanket of snow, a land once tall and green turned white and sparkling. All the plants and previous water now made into elaborate sculptures and patterns, like everything was made of lace.

Nugget joined him on the surface and they both took a moment to stare at the scenery, both their breaths adding to the white.

"Woah."

Once they got over the awe of winter's painting, Nugget lifted his classmate up and walked in a direction completely opposite to the way they had gone before. After twenty minutes of white breath and snow crunching steps, the forest stopped to the south side of the school buildings. Nugget placed Felix down on the ground gently and gestured to the coat.

"Give Nugget the coat back, wearing the garment will make the adults suspicious."

Once he returned the coat Nugget walked to the front from the back and Felix walked the opposite direction. It wasn't as warm without the coat, but Felix had a good few minutes before the cold drove its sword through him and his thin shirt. Felix made it to the front of the building and saw his twin getting out of the family limousine, nervously he hid behind the wall and waited until the driver left.

He was so focused on listening for the limousine driving away that he didn't hear the crunching sound of snow under feet. He turned to look around the wall again he was viciously attacked by a shadow clone,
