Mordicelli stepped quietly through the small village of Ozryn, plotting out what to do next. If Seobaak had Lethine, there was no doubt that he would try to get all three of the deadly potions. Mordicelli knew where the second potion was, under heavy guard but hidden in plain sight, in the Armathain fort. If Seobaak had found it, news would have spread quickly.

Instead Mordicelli decided it was best to seek help. He was sure that Brourferlug would forgive him, despite their disagreement last time they met, once Mordicelli explained the dire situation at hand.

He nodded to himself, then made his way through twisted streets and crumbling alleys until he found himself standing on the doorstep of 4115 north Knizahn boulevard. He took a deep breath and knocked thrice on the olive green door.

At once, a dull brown eye appeared through the peephole. Brourferlug glanced at Mordicelli through the small opening, then grunted and walked away. Mordicelli knocked again, harder this time, but Brouferlug ignored him.

"Brouferlug!" Mordicelli called, his voice echoing through the silent streets. "I'm not leaving until you open this door!"

Either Brourferlug didn't hear or didn't care, but Mordicelli was true to his word. He sat down on the small ledge outside the door and waited.

He stayed there for hours, earning strange glances from the occasional passerby, until finally the heavy door was dragged open. Brourferlug stood in the doorway glaring at Mordicelli.
