Cordelia and me were friends, since I joined the coven and began to live in the Academy. I was there for her, when her mother returned to the Academy and turned our life's upside down. Cordelia and me were close, but that was all. For me, she was so much more. She wasn't just my best friend, I was deeply in love with her, but I didn't want to risk our friendship with one-sided feelings.

"I don't want to get out with her" Cordelia said to me and looked at herself in the mirror. I sat in bed with crossed legs and studied her. "I know, but maybe it's good for both of you. She's your mother, after all Delia" I said to her and rolled my eyes. Cordelia took a deep breath and turned around. She was just in her underwear and my cheeks reddened at the sight in front of me. I bit my lip and looked down to my phone in my hands, to avoid staring at Cordelia's body. "(Y/N)! Look at me." My head shot up and my eyes widened at her tone. "What?" I asked surprised. "What should I wear?" I sighed and shook my head. "Oh my God Delia, just wear something you feel comfortable in. You don't have a date with Hank." Cordelia huffed and rolled with her eyes. She slapped my arm and I looked shocked at her. "Seriously?" I asked her and slapped her back with a pillow. Cordelia giggled and grabbed another pillow to hit me again. We had a pillow fight for a few minutes and then Cordelia stumbled over something on the ground and fell on top of me. She had still just her underwear on and our noses brushed together.

My hands landed on her hip and I coughed. "Um, Delia?" She looked into my eyes and my insides were on fire. Her brown orbs where so beautiful and I could stare into them the whole day. "You should get ready" I whispered and she nodded. Cordelia stood up again and walked to her closet. She pulled some clothes out and got dressed. She looked at me and asked silently if it was a good outfit. I nodded and stood up. "You look beautiful Delia, like always." Cordelia smiled and threw her arms around my neck. "Thank you so much. You're truly the best friend someone can have" Cordelia said and hugged me tightly. "You're welcome Delia" I whispered and hugged her back. Cordelia always smelled so nice, even without perfume and I couldn't help, but take a deep breath. "Now, shoo shoo little bird. You're mother is waiting for you" I said and pushed her away from me. She narrowed her eyes and nodded.

I grabbed Cordelia's jacket and she her purse and I helped her inside of it. She pulled her hair out and turned around to me. Cordelia gave me a quick kiss on the lips and said "I'll call you if I need a rescue." I touched my lips and nodded. It was a little tradition between us, that we gave each other a little kiss when someone left, but it's not the same for me anymore. I sighed and walked out of her room.

It was hours later and I was already worried, because Cordelia still wasn't home. I had sent her several messages, but she hasn't replied. My phone was on my night table and I looked up at the ceiling. It started vibrating and I sat up quickly. I stared at the ID, who was calling me and my eyes widened. It was Fiona. Okay, now I'm really worried. "Fiona?" I said after I picked up. "(Y/N)! Okay don't freak out, but we're in the hospital" Fiona said and of course I freaked out. She always liked me more than the others, I don't know why. Maybe because, I was a little bit like her, but who knows. I stood up and said loudly "What? What happened? Where's Cordelia?" It was silent for a few seconds and I screamed into the phone "FIONA!" "Don't yell at me! She was attacked. I think you should come here." I nearly dropped my phone at what Fiona said. "Did you call Hank?" I whispered into the phone. I knew that he was on a business trip, like he called it, but I didn't believe one word. Fiona sighed and said "Yeah, he's on his way too." I huffed and ended the call. I grabbed my jacket and ran out of the Academy.

It took me 20 minutes to drive to the hospital and when I reached it I ran through the corridors and searched for a nurse. When I found one I grabbed her elbow and said out of breath "Cordelia Foxx, where is she?" The nurse pulled her elbow away and showed me the room. I opened the door and walked inside. Fiona came and stopped me. "It's not good." I nodded and walked to the bed. When I saw her, I gasped and held my hands over my mouth. Tears shot into my eyes and I fell to my knees. Cordelia's eyes were burned and when she opened them I saw that she was blind. "No" I cried out and couldn't stop the sob. "(Y/N)?" Cordelia whispered and turned her head in my direction. She held her hand out for me and I stood up and grabbed it. "Who did this to you little bird?" I asked between sobs and touched her face lightly with my fingertips. Tears filled Cordelia's eyes and she shook her head. "I don't know" she whispered and I placed my face at her neck.
