"Cheers to us for surviving college! We did it guys!" We raised our champaign glasses in a toast. The three of us have been friends since our freshman year. It sounds weird that two guys and a girl are best friends. But that's what we are. Well, they are fraternal twins from Montana and I'm from Mississippi.
Tomorrow, we will be moving to Montana to work for their family ranch.
After our freshman year, we decided to move into an apartment together. It has really worked out for us. I have only grown closer to Trace and Drake. My own family couldn't care less about me. To them, I'm a traitor for leaving the small town that I grew up in.
"Amen!" Both men said in unison as they often do.
"I can't wait to get back home! No more paying a high rent and neighbors so close that you can't piss off the balcony." Trace said as he finished his glass and poured another.
"I know right! I can't believe how much that damn ticket was! Just ridiculous!" I said, laughing at the three hundred dollars that he had to pay for his drunken public relieving of his bladder.
"Who knew they charged by the inch?" Drake replied.
I literally just spewed my champagne. It took me a moment to stop laughing as Trace punched his brother's shoulder. This is why we work so well together. We laugh together. When one of us is stressed, the others helped us to chill. If one of them was sick, I nursed them back to health. On the holidays, I went to Montana with them. I am very fond of their parents, Darrell and Anna, and sisters, Sara and Natalie. I still haven't met their brother, face to face, yet, Trevor is in Germany, where he is a Staff Sargent in the Army. We have spoken over the phone.
We are all packed and ready to leave first thing in the morning. I will start my new job as veterinarian for the ranch's almost fifty horses and five hundred other cattle.
"Have you called your parents Ashley?" Trace asked me suddenly.
"Yep! I told them that I was going to move to Montana to work. They said that I need to come home or forget that I have family in Mississippi. I told them that I hate to see them feeling that way. And to have a nice life. I am dead to them just because I refuse to be stuck in that town."
My parents didn't even want to visit me in the past five years. When I sent them graduation invitations, they returned them with a note that simply said 'Who is this?'. I couldn't even find it in me to cry. I have come to terms with my life. Time for me to move on.
"Your family is stupid and they suck! You deserve so much better." Trace told me.
"That's why she has us." Drake added as he refilled my glass.
"That's right! You guys are my family. But you don't have to get me drunk. I need to be able to drive tomorrow."
"Two glasses will not make you drunk Ashley. Live a little." Trace said.
"Says the man who had to ask your dad for three hundred dollars and tell him what it was for. Is that what you told him?"
We talked and drank the entire bottle before falling asleep in my bedroom on a pallet of blankets, as we have done many times before. Just in a bed.
I wake up to a hard cock against my ass. I knew immediately that it was Drake. He always has one when we sleep together. Just a part of life. I mean, Trace has one too, and he is openly gay. I never think that Drake's is because of me. It is just nature.
I stretch then check my phone. Six o'clock, time to get up and go. "Come on guys. Time to rise and shine." I stretch again and hear Drake moan.
"Do we have to get up at the ass crack of still dark?" Trace asked.
