SOME PARTS OF me want to want you, but other parts are torn in two.
I'm a fucking mess honestly, but it's fine; so are you.
Maybe I'll figure it out.
Maybe in another life, we'll be free.
Because as Alan Watts once said-
"Trying to define yourself
is like trying to bite your own teeth."_________
Over the course of a week, Izuku had been consistently contacting Shoto.
It was shameful, but Todoroki found himself becoming more and more intrigued with the man that had so many questions and no answers.
That leads to today. Izuku managed to convince Shoto to invite him into his home.
It was most definitely absurd, but Shoto agreed, well aware that Izuku wouldn't try to kill him. He 'needed' him, after all.
This was for the best anyway, in his opinion. The more trust he managed to build between him and Izuku, the closer he'd be to rooting up the League.
Worryingly enough, Izuku didn't need Shoto's exact address to show up- he just did, glittery entrance and all. Was that sort of knowledge due to yet another quirk, or was the green headed young man oddly adept at stalking?
Izuku appeared in the early afternoon, as promised. He didn't bother warning Shoto before entering though; he simply appeared right in the living room. Needless to say, Shoto didn't appreciate that.
Izuku looked the same as ever, not that Todoroki had an issue with that. His fluffy head of green curls were wild and untamed, and as always, he was sporting a black, silk kimono and red flats.
Izuku wasted no time with pulling Shoto in for an oddly warm hug. "I finally got the date I wanted with you."
Todoroki stiffened. "What-"
"Whoa!" Izuku suddenly exclaimed, breaking the embrace and immediately running off, drinking in the atmosphere of the top hero's home. "This place is a lot bigger than I thought it'd be! The decor is a bit plain, though- although I guess I should've expected that from you."
He bounded from spot to spot, his enthusiasm endless and reminiscent of a child, or a fanboy. Maybe both. Shoto sighed.
"Hey, don't touch that-"
Izuku froze, his hand hovering over a picture frame. He turned around. "Huh?"
"I said don't touch that." Shoto sighed, swiping the picture away from Izuku's reach.
He's pretty short, he found himself noticing.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Izuku blinked once, reading Shoto's expression. "Is that private or something?"
"Not...really. But I'd rather not have you knowing what my mother looks like." Shoto scowled, walking away. Izuku followed.
"I already know, though." He frowned. "Her name's Rei, isn't it? It's not hard to get background information on popular heroes like you, you know. Besides, your father was a top hero too-"
"Shut up." Shoto sighed. "I don't want to hear about that old fucker, especially from you."
Izuku hummed in thought. "I see." Suddenly, he perked up. "Anyway, I plan on baking today! Where's your pantry?"
Shoto pursed his lips. Was this guy being for real right now?
"Over there, bottom left. Uh... What are you baking?"
