Here I was sitting in the restroom feeling numb. I had found out that Samantha is actually pregnant, and I found it all out from none other than Malakai. Her brother. He was so happy for her, after that I told him to tell her I said congratulations and I excused myself.

Now here I was feeling like all of this was so unreal. I didn't want this to be the reality of things but it actually was real. . .It was very real.

So what was my next move?

I accept my transfer offer to a new hospital in New York.

No I'm not running away because I'm hurting, Or because I'm feeling broken down. I'm leaving because I'm tired and there is nothing else left for me here.

I want to start off new and on my own.

Everybody here has something or someone to look forward to but me, my parents are gone, my brother is missing, and my only love interest at the moment is with the woman that broke him down to what he is now but yet, they have a child on the way.

Everyone has some type of happiness here and I'm elated for them because they deserve to have that happiness but, —It was time to find mine though and it obviously wasn't going to be found here.

I had gotten up and sighed before exiting the bathroom and ignoring the calls from Malakai, I went straight to my boss's office and knocked waiting for that response.

" Wait what's wrong Sonya?, " Malakai asker from behind me and I turned to see a look of worry etched onto his beautiful chiseled features.

I opened my mouth about to speak until I heard that reply.

" Come in! ," She called and I stopped and quickly shook my head signaling 'nothing' just before I turned away and entered the office closing the door behind me.

2 MONTHS LATER

" Hey be careful with those! They were my dad's war metals and I swear if anything is messed up imma have your head over my new fireplace!, " I told Jordan as we packed up the house.

" Damn alright feisty! Imma be more careful!, " He said now slowly packing up the box of medals along with his old uniform.

" You know Yaya I still can't believe you're leaving, I really can't believe you're leaving this house to us!, " Ortiz said starting to tear up again and I pulled him into another hug.

" It's alright, I'll be back anytime you need me. " I said with a smile.

" I always need you though!, " He whined.

" Alright let's talk like the fiancé isn't in the room!, " Jordan said with his hands in the air, I smiled at the blinging ring on his finger before I turned my attention to Ortiz's ring as well.

Ortiz and I laughed off Jordan's comment before my phone had rang and Ortiz had grabbed it and looked at the caller ID before his face fell from happy to angry.

I then immediately knew who could've made Ortiz's mood change to sour in an instant.
