You Know Nothing

The next morning Robin was trying to find something to eat in the kitchen while Godzilla was trying to figure out how to use the remote for the TV. The team came in to find Godzilla aggressively pushing every button on the remote, he hadn't even managed to turn on the TV. Robin just decided to eat an apple and grabbed one for Godzilla, the kaiju was about to throw the remote when Robin took it from him.

Robin gave him a stern look, "Don't throw the remote."

"But I want to throw it."

"You can't throw the remote."

"Why?"

"Because it might break."

"That's the point, or would you rather I set it on fire?"

Robin looked shocked, "Wait, how would you..." He shook his head, "You can't set it on fire either."

"But why, that infernal contraption isn't even working."

Robin looked him dead in the eye and pointed the remote at the TV, he pressed the power button and the TV turned on. Godzilla looked at the TV before he growled and crossed his arms, "I hate humans."

Robin just sat on the couch and saw the team from the corner of his eye, he looked at them, "Hey guys."

Aqualad looked confused, "What is going on?"

Robin shrugged, "Godzilla couldn't get the remote to work, it was kind of funny actually."

Godzilla glared at him, "I can and will kill you."

Robin put his hands up in surrender before grabbing one of the apples he'd set beside him and handed it to the titan. Godzilla tore part of the apple off with his sharp teeth and Kid Flash spoke, "If that's what you do to an apple I'd hate to think what you would do if you bit someone."

Godzilla didn't even look at him, "I would tear their flesh off, I've done it before."

Several of the heroes looked horrified and Miss Martian spoke, "Why?"

"Calm down, I've only done it to other titans and it was because they either attacked me or something else."

Superboy spoke, "I thought you said you were called the 'king of the monsters'."

"I am, but that doesn't mean I don't have opposition, they've learned not to defy me but the younger ones can cause trouble, so they learn quickly or die even quicker."

Artemis glared at him, "You really are heartless aren't you?"

Now that seemed to make Godzilla a bit angry and he glared at her, "I would not have saved this world or your race from the titans that wished to destroy it if I were heartless. I would not have sent the others into hibernation, frozen my greatest enemy in ice, or hidden my existence from the world if I were heartless. You are a child, all of you are, humans think they're gods when you are all just oblivious, selfish creatures, you know nothing."

With that Godzilla left the room and by this time Robin had stood up and he looked mortified, "What did you do?"

Artemis looked at him, "Me?! He's the one that's been hostile and moody ever since we first met him."

"Because he's homesick, and the fact that you guys keep saying things to make him mad isn't helping."

Kid Flash spoke, "We haven't said anything to make him mad."

Robin obviously didn't agree if the look on his face was any indication, "I'm going to go find Godzilla and hope he isn't already gone."

Robin left to go after the kaiju and hoped he was right about where he'd gone, he went to the beach outside the mountain and sighed. Godzilla was standing knee deep in the water staring out at the horizon where he no doubt wanted to go. Robin hesitated before walking into the water, he didn't care if his clothes got soaked again, he needed to make sure Godzilla was okay.

They were silent for a minute until Robin spoke, "Are you okay?"

"Well let's see, I killed another titan to save Atlantis, got injured, was taken from my cave, then from my territory completely. Had to fight those so called heroes in that space station, and now I'm being insulted by a bunch of children, so no, no I am not."

Robin rubbed his eyes, "Look, I'm sorry, I really am, I didn't expect them to keep acting like this but Artemis went too far." He went quiet for a few seconds, "If you want to leave I won't stop you, you haven't done anything to deserve getting treated like that."

Godzilla growled, "You don't know what I've done."

"Exactly, none of us do, but as far as we know all you've done is attack the Justice League because you were scared."

"I don't get scared."

"Then you were dazed and confused, either way you didn't do it out of sheer hostility." Godzilla stayed quiet and Robin sighed, "I don't think you're a bad person, or titan, or whatever you want to be called. If the others don't see that then that's their problem, but I don't want you to leave thinking they're bad people."

Godzilla messed up his hair a little out of frustration, "They are annoying but I can't say I don't understand their reservations about me. But I swear if they keep irritating me I won't show as much restraint as I have been, you are warned."

Robin smiled a little, "Duly noted, now do you want to come inside or stay out here?"

Godzilla groaned, "I don't want to go inside but I know I'll have to eventually."

The two then heard a beeping noise and Robin activated his holo-glove to see what was going on. "Looks like we have to go inside now, Batman wants everyone to go to the training room, including you."

Godzilla looked mildly irritated as he followed Robin back inside and they went to the training room. Batman looked at all of them, "Team, you have a mission."

Aqualad spoke, "What is the mission?"

"Atomic Skull has been stealing tech from STAR lab facilities, his next target is the STAR labs in Star city. Your job is to prevent him from stealing the tech and to capture him if you can but do not put yourselves in unnecessary danger. We don't know what he's doing with the tech and until we do he's too dangerous to underestimate."

Superboy spoke, "What about him?"

He pointed to Godzilla and Batman quietly sighed, "Red Tornado is on a mission as are any Leaguers that can be trusted with watching him. He can't be left alone and with no one to watch him he'll be going with you on this mission."

Almost everyone started at Batman in shock, Godzilla just looked more irritated now and Robin was trying not to smile, this was going to be interesting.
