An entire day had passed since Godzilla got angry at Superman, none of them had seen him since then. They were sure he was actively avoiding them, he was probably still angry and many of them didn't have a problem with that. However, Robin was worried, Godzilla didn't actually hurt Superman but he seemed to be running out of patience.

It was understandable, to him at least, but he had no idea what to do and Godzilla might just decide to leave. That night Robin couldn't sleep, Godzilla was still hiding and he didn't know if the kaiju was okay, at all. Robin eventually got up and decided that he should see if Godzilla was outside, it was his best bet.

Robin went to the door and looked outside, Godzilla was currently under the water and he was swimming away. His heart sank, Godzilla swam over to something and it took a few seconds to figure out what it was. It was a dolphin, Godzilla did something and Robin wasn't sure what, it looked like he cut something.

The dolphin then swam around happily and Godzilla swam closer to the mountain which made Robin sigh in relief. He soon broke the surface of the water and spoke, "You really need to stop following me."

Robin looked away, "I was worried, no one has seen you for all day so I decided to see if you were out here."

Godzilla growled, "Your friends are proving to be incredibly annoying."

Robin sighed, "Yeah I can't deny that, so what were you just doing?"

"A dolphin got caught in some fishing net, I heard her calling and decided to free her."

Robin smiled a little, "So you still aren't leaving?"

Godzilla looked mildly irritated, "Don't sound so smug about it, I've already explained why I'm staying."

Something seemed to catch Godzilla's attention and he turned around, Robin saw a few other dolphins under the water. They were playing with the dolphin the kaiju freed and Robin smiled before he thought of something. "Do you have any family, someone you have to go back home to?"

Godzilla growled, "No."

The titan seemed really mad at the mention of his family and Robin got worried, "Did something happen?"

"I'm not talking about them so forget it."

Robin was silent for a second and Godzilla wouldn't look at him, Robin hesitated, "My family died."

Godzilla froze for a second before looking at Robin, "What?"

Robin looked away, "The others don't know, except Kid Flash, but I never talk about it with anyone. They were killed, I saw them die and that was the worst day of my life, I became a hero because of that."

They were both quiet for a minute before Godzilla spoke, "Why are you telling me all of this?"

Robin shrugged, "I really don't know, I'm not supposed to tell anyone but I guess I just feel like I can tell you without you looking at me like I'm some fragile kid or something."

Godzilla made a weird huffing noise, "All humans are fragile children." He looked away for a second, "But you aren't as fragile, and you seem less childish then most humans."

Robin laughed a little, "A lot of people would disagree with you on that."

"I don't care, I've been alive for a very long time so I'd know better then them, and it isn't about age anyway. It's about the eyes, humans are an open book when you look them in the eye, you have experienced pain but you became stronger, you didn't let it consume you. Those other humans can't say that, so at the very least you have that going for you."

Robin stared at him in shock for a minute before he laughed, "I wasn't expecting that from you, but thanks."

Godzilla growled, "I don't need thanks from a human."

Robin laughed again, "Whatever you say." He got a little more serious then, "Look, I'll talk to the others, just don't give up on them yet."

Godzilla sighed, "Fine, but my patience is wearing thin."

Robin smiled, "I kind of figured, so are you going to come inside or keep swimming for a bit?"

"I'm staying here, I've been out of the water for too long."

Robin looked confused, "What do you mean?"

"I live in the water, my scales tend to dry out if I stay on land too long."

"Scales, what scales?"

Godzilla raised an eyebrow, "The ones on me right now, they look like clothes in this form but they're scales."

Robin's eyes widened, "So those are actually a part of you?"

"Yes and no, in this form I could take them off and regrow my scales when changing into my other form but these are my scales."

Robin stared in shock for a minute, "Wow, just wow."

Godzilla didn't look amused, "You've seen me breathe fire, this shouldn't be surprising."

Robin paused for a second, "Yeah that's true."

Godzilla growled dismissively and dove under the water, Robin watched him for a few minutes and had to admit that he was very graceful. The dolphins hung around and played with Godzilla, the kaiju didn't seem too annoyed by it either. Robin wasn't sure how much time passed before Godzilla left the water and they went inside.

Robin went to his room and hoped that if he talked to the others they would at least be nicer to Godzilla. But for now he just decided to go to sleep, he didn't realize how tired he was but now that he knew Godzilla was okay he went right to sleep.
