I Killed Them

It had been several hours and Godzilla had calmed down since seeing his parents skeletal remains on the news. He and Robin had both gone inside and none of the heroes asked why he'd been angry, probably because of the look Robin gave them. Just when things seemed to have calmed down Batman, Black Canary, and Red Tornado entered the mountain.

The team went to see why they were there and Godzilla went with them since he knew they didn't want him to be left unsupervised. Aqualad spoke, "Has something happened?"

Black Canary spoke, "Sort of."

Batman spoke, "The skeletal remains of two large creatures were uncovered by a team of scientists, we've gained access to the site to look at the remains."

Robin's eyes widened just a little and he looked at Godzilla, he was surprised to find that he seemed calm. Godzilla looked at him and Robin felt like he could breathe again, he was okay, at least for now. Kid Flash spoke, "So why are you here then?"

Batman looked at Godzilla, "If he's telling the truth about who he is he might be able to tell us something we don't know yet."

Godzilla looked mildly irritated, "And why should I do anything to help you?"

Batman looked a bit irritated now and Black Canary cut in, "We'd appreciate the help."

Godzilla gave her a dismissive growl, "Fine, but I'm not making this a habit."

Many of the heroes looked surprised that he agreed to help so easily and Robin had a slight smirk on his face. This was just proving his point that Godzilla wasn't as bad as they thought, if they were nicer to him he wouldn't be so hostile all the time. The heroes headed out almost immediately and got to the site within an hour, Godzilla hadn't said a word.

When they arrived at the site they found that very few scientists were there and the head scientist walked up to them. He held out his hand, "I'm Dr. Manning, I'm glad you could make it."

Black Canary shook his hand, "Where's everyone else?"

"Most of the others are on break right now, but you'll get to see the skeletons without so many people walking around the site."

The scientist motioned for them to follow and they did, Godzilla glanced around, the forest was far more dense then it had been. At least those two had been more useful in death then in life, it was a shame that the trees had been cleared away from the dig site though. Robin looked at Godzilla and saw that he was looking at the surrounding trees, why he was he didn't know.

Manning stopped, "These are the skeletons, we haven't actually gotten them out of the ground yet but once we have we can better figure out how they died."

Batman spoke, "We want to look at the bones ourselves and see what we can find."

Manning looked confused, "But there's already a whole team on this."

"We have an expert that might be able to tell us more then your team can."

"Who could possibly be an expert on these creatures?"

Godzilla glared at him, "Someone more competent then you."

Manning looked at the titan, "Is this your expert, he looks more like a moody teenager."

"And you're a rat that shouldn't even be working on this site, and if you don't get out of my way I will make sure no one finds your body."

Manning actually looked a little scared and he quickly left after warning Batman not to mess with anything. Godzilla growled to himself and Red Tornado spoke, "I fail to understand why you were so hostile toward that man."

"There's only one man I would willingly let near a titan's corpse and it's not him."

Godzilla walked around one of the skeletons, his mother, she was less violent but not any less abusive, she knew how to make him angry. Batman spoke, "What can you tell us about these creatures?"

Godzilla got a calculating look in his eyes, "They were killed by another titan."

Black Canary spoke, "What makes you think that?"

"There are bite marks on the bones that didn't heal, they died during a fight, the bite marks don't match up with their teeth. They're both just over a hundred meters tall, the titan that killed them was younger, a juvenile."

Kid Flash spoke, "How could you possibly figure that out, and how could a younger one take down two of them?"

"Most of the bite marks are on the torso of each skeleton, why wouldn't a titan go for a kill shot if they could reach it?"

Robin glared at Kid Flash a little and he had the decency to look a bit ashamed, Godzilla growled to himself. "This one is a female, the other is a male, the fight between them and the third titan was brutal. After the fight was over the third titan left and the bodies were buried, until now at least."

Godzilla didn't look happy and Robin was worried, the kaiju shouldn't have even had to go to the site, let alone see the remains of his parents. Godzilla glared at the bones with pure hatred in his eyes, "Good riddance."

Godzilla started walking away from the bones and went past the heroes, Batman spoke, "Hold on." Godzilla stopped, "How did you know so much about the third creature?"

Godzilla looked at him, "I thought that would be obvious, I killed them."

Godzilla turned and left, Robin went after him and soon caught up with him, "I'd ask if you're okay but that would be stupid."

"Humans are annoying, arrogant, and selfish, why I waste any of my time around them is beyond me."

Robin stopped, "Ouch."

Godzilla stopped and looked at him, "That doesn't include you, believe me I would have at least tried to claw you by now if it did."

Robin couldn't help but smile a little and the two walked out of the dig site, Robin eventually spoke, "So what are you going to do now?"

"Who knows, I'll just have to see what happens."

Robin quietly sighed but he did agree with Godzilla, they'd have to see what happened now.
