Chaotic Farm

Oh life is just dandy out here on the farm,
the rolling green pastures with crops growing wild.
Let's go on a tour, grab ahold of my arm,
and follow me into the field...

The corn that we grow will sprout bottles of Coke,
our flowering trees will sprout burgers and fries,
it might sound like some kind of fraudulent joke,
but that is what people demand

Out here on the farm, we grow food for the heart,
the masses amass here each day of the year,
they come in their trucks, they unload, and depart
they eat, and they feed, and return.

Now onto the stables and into the pens
to see all the animal stock that we have
the pigs and, the cows, and the horses, and hens,
not one of them heaving a head.

The animal newborns are taught to refrain
from thinking or using their judgement at all
they grow up much quicker without any brain
to ponder how big they should be.

We feed all our livestock the same meal each day:
a chemical soup that was made in a lab,
that makes them all simply forget how to play
and want to watch T.V. instead.

The farmhouse is empty, the farmer is gone,
the tractor is rusting away on the hill,
no rooster can crow at the cracking of dawn,
no windmill to turn in the wind.

We eat what we are, and we are what we eat,
just sheep with no heads being led how to live,
all feeding on things that are tainting our meat
and growing up much, much to quick.

Oh life is just dandy out here on the farm,
the rolling green pastures with crops growing wild.
Let's go on a tour, grab ahold of my arm,
and follow me into the field...
