"Shoot! Shoot! Shoot!" Sprinting could be heard through the forest. Not only was it sprinting but it was also followed by a thumping like sound too. Noelle was currently running; Running from a bear. A hungry one at that. It was a bad day to be a deer in the forest. Then again..when was it ever good to be a deer in the forest. Especially with that meaning you are prey to hungry carnivores... like the one chasing her right now.

"WAHHHH!" Gabriel was frightened out of his mind. His cries echoed through the trees. Noelle tried to console him but couldn't. Her voice was shaky she was terrified herself. She was getting tired and couldn't out run this bear for long. Her legs were starting to ache but she trudged on. She had long run from the path to the city and was starting to loose her sense of direction.

"D-DON'T WORRY, GABRIEL... IT'S- IT'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT!" She said frantically. She couldn't run anymore. She wasn't in the shape like she was in Highschool. She wished she hadn't of stopped her routine just because she didn't run cross country anymore. Compared to most she was fast... but this bear... It would let up one bit. "T-TREE...! I-I GOTTA CLIMB THE TREE" she panted feverishly.

She knew this would even further panic the buck, but she had to. She had turned the baby carrier to her back and off her chest. Gabriel was now looking straight at that menacing, sharp tooth, foaming at the mouth, piercing black eyed bear. Gabriel squirmed and screamed wildly in horrified angst. The bear had not been but a foot or two away. It was gaining on them. Noelle jumped at a tree, her cheek getting gashed at slightly by the bark. She immediately started climbing. Her arms violently shaking from lack of upper body strength. She continued to climb as fast at she could. The bear clawed at her. It's claws slashed open the bottom of Noelle's shoe, barely grazing Noelle's skin. Noelle didn't stop climbing til she was about ten to twelve feet in the tree. She sat on a thick branch and tried to catch her breath while getting the splinters out her hands and arms.

Gabriel cries hadn't died down since they got to safety he was hiccuping and screaming. This was definitely gonna give him sore throat tomorrow. The doe took Gabriel into her arm and rocked him gently. Shakily shushing him tenderly. Her eye caught a glimpse at the tree below and what she saw made her heart stop..

The bear was climbing the tree...

"I know I heard a baby's scream..." Susie looked in all directions trying to find in which direction the screaming was coming from. "Where the fuck is it coming from.!?" Susie had been following Noelle but lost track of her a while back. She assumed her wife made it to town but the next scream she heard made her soul shake to its core... it was Noelle. "NOELLE!" She bellowed. "IM COMING! JUST WAIT FOR ME!" By the way Noelle continued to scream she didn't hear a thing. She was in danger. Susie's brain had completely stopped functioning and her instincts flared up. She ran into the direction of her lover's voice. First on two legs then on all fours. One thought running through her head and that was to murder the little shit endangering what was her's.

The bulky Dinosaur arrived at the scene she saw her... the love of her life ten feet in the air at the edge of a tree branch. Tears in her eyes, holding on close to Gabriel as if she accepted her fate. And then she saw it. That bear climbing the tree, just seconds away from Noelle. Never had Susie moved so fast. She had not only caught up to the bear but she had sunken her claws into bear's leg. The bear roared in pain and tries to swipe at Susie. The Dinosaur clawed deeper into it's flesh, pinning it down to one spot. Her furious eyes landed on Noelle making the deer shiver. "Close your eyes..." she commanded coldly. The way Susie spoke May have frightened her more than the bear. She closed her eyes as instructed and covered Gabriel's. All her heard was the bear's roars then whimpers and soon nothing... nothing but Susie's panting and huffing. Noelle hesitantly opened her eyes and saw Susie almost completely covered in blood and the bear gutted alive. It's organs cut into on the ground and it's blood flooding out of its body. It's gut splattered onto the floor. The deer suppressed the urge to throw up. Susie wiped the blood off onto the bears fur and climbed up the tree to retrieve Noelle. The holiday themed monster had never seen her wife do anything like this before. Susie grabbed Noelle and held the deer in her arms. "Hold on." Noelle with question held onto her. The irony smell of blood hit her instantly. Susie jumped off the branch and used her claws to slowly descend off it by scraping them against the tree. When then reached the ground Susie set Noelle down.
