Baby Talk (part 4)

Susie rinsed the blood off her arms and face and the watched it sink down the drain. Anxiety was starting to hit her until, a knock out the door interrupted her train of thought.

"Susie? You alright in there?" It was kris and he sounded concerned. "Don't tell me you forgot how to put on a shirt. Again."

"Fuck you!" She growled. She could hear Kris's laughter on the other end. "I didn't forget how to put on the shirt! It was just weird shirt with too many holes in the damn thing!" She retorted.

"Sureeeee."

"Argh... whatever, man." The dinosaur rolled her eyes and exited the restroom. Grumbling as she walked past Kris. She headed towards the living room where her wife was. The scaly monster noticed Noelle's ear twitch, acknowledging her presence.

"How are you feeling, Susie?" Noelle looked genuinely worried. Susie was perplexed. This idiot never ceases to surprise her. Noelle had been like that since Highschool, always worrying about the Dinosaur even though she was ten times stronger than the deer. Even when she was hurt herself Noel would always check on the Purple Dinosaur. It pissed the hell out of her.

"Tsk... fucking idiot! You could have been eaten alive and you're worried about ME!?" Her nose flared up her eyes pierced into Noelle's mint green ones.

Noelle was shocked by the outburst. She did understand why Susie was suddenly so angry. Ralsei was confused as well.

"Susie that was uncalled for." The goat monster started to intervene but was cut off by Susie.

"SHUT UP. I'm not talking to you." Susie snared her teeth at him. Ralsei was about to reply back until Kris sided against him doing so. Susie's closes her mouth she and turned her attention back at Noelle. She'd never bare her teeth at Noelle that way, no matter how mad she was. The doe always took note of that. "Well... why do you worry so much about me and not yourself?" He voice was the essence of rage.

"Because you're my everything and I care about you mental and physical well being. You seemed out of sorts after what you did to that bear." Noelle reached over for her lovers hand and through some act of God Susie didn't denounce the invitation and let Noelle take her hand. Noelle noticed Susie's hand was shaking.

"You think I don't think the same thing? I could have lost you today. Noelle I'm two times your size and ten times stronger than you. You're so frail that  a simple flick of the fingers will leave a bruise. That bear wasn't putting my life in any danger. But it was for you! Do you know how that made me feel? But not about how I feel right now! You're worried about me!? What about you!? Why do hide yourself from me even after all this time. You tried to be the perfect girlfriend, now you're trying to play the perfect wife! You sharing your emotions with me isn't a bother! But it does bother me when you sit there and look at me and say you're fine after I saw you crying on that tree! Clinging for your life on that branch!" Susie started to pant aggressively. So much adrenaline was running through her right now she couldn't even register how bad she was trembling. "The real question is "are You okay?". Sugarcookie, are you okay?" Susie put a finger on the deers chin and looked at her with soft eyes. Noelle smiled softly at Susie publicly using her nickname. Her face tinted a light pink and her eyes started to water.

"N-no..." with that reply tears came streaming down her face dampening her fur. "I- I was so scared..." Susie scooped the small deer up into her arms and hid her away from the two visible people in the room. The dinosaur held her close and kept her out of sight. She didn't want anyone near her or to see the doe in such a helpless state. Ralsei and Kris could only depict only bits and pieces of what Noelle was saying but it was mostly muffled. Ralsei slowly approached to do some comforting of his own only to get growled at by Susie. It was a warning to stay back. Noelle nuzzled Susie and assured her it was alright for real this time. With all this going on no one realized Kris had Gabriel.
