Shoto's POV

I arrived at the hospital and sat outside Katsuki's room.

My tears fell from my eyes.

Why though?

It's been so long since I've teared up this badly.

I felt guilt rising from the bottom of my stomach.

It didn't feel nice.

Perhaps.. perhaps this was my fault. If I hadn't cheated, Katsu- Bakugo would still be here. He'd still be here, showing his rare smiles that were genuine, his moans— amazing cooking I'd eat everyday.

Suddenly, a burst of nostalgic memories I had with Kat- Bakugo came back to me in an instance. I never realized until now.. how much I lost. How badly I had lost the one that truly loved me. I didn't realize how much he meant to me.

That persistent, arrogant, blonde male gave up his opportunity to get the job he desired just to be with me in Japan. Guilt was tripping me.

For once in my life have I never felt this guilty about anything.

The doctors came outside Katsuki's room to update me on what had happened.

❝ I'm sorry... ❞

Those two words.

Why sorry?

❝ I'm sorry, Shoto. ❞

I remember Katsuki telling me that one day we got into a huge argument.

Was this a dream?

I'm sorry, Katsuki.

❝ Sir? ❞

I snapped back into reality.

❝ Y-yes? My apologies, I wasn't listening. ❞

I stuttered surprisingly.

❝ It's alright, i was saying that Mr Bakugō would need some rest. And you need to go home. It's passed visiting times.  ❞

The doctor gave a sympathetic smile at me.

I nodded, feeling quite embarrassed.

I exited the hospital, on my way to my car.

I got inside and drove..

Well..

I drove back to our apartment.

" Katsuki! Open the door! I'm home! "
I held the gifts in my hand as I waited for Katsuki to open the door.
I could hear the door creaking open, my excitement grew.
Instead of me jumping on him, to my surprise, Katsuki was crying and held me in his arms. The smaller male held on tight to me.
