Shoto's death still hurt Katsuki till this day. He couldn't get over Shoto. How could he? Shoto just left without looking back. Nevertheless, his heart was broken. It traumatized the poor blonde. He couldn't dare to love another when he knew he'd end up hurting them with his instability. He did everything he could to stop the pain for lasting for than it needed to.

𝘉𝘢𝘣𝘺, 𝘸𝘩𝘺'𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺?

Katsuki grieved over his death. His eyes could hold the tears, but the tears just kept falling. Katsuki may have been going crazy. He had some hallucinations about Shoto being here with him. Still, he labeled himself as taken. He didn't want someone to just come into his life and then suddenly leave.

Where was Shoto? No one knew. No else but Deku. Maybe he was replaced, maybe Katsuki wasn't good enough— no. Shoto had told Katsuki that the reason he was going to leave was because he couldn't handle all the stress he had. And he didn't want to hurt Katsuki by going off on him due to the stress, so, like any decent human being. Shoto left in the case of not trying to hurt Katsuki. Oh but did that backfire.

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯?

Katsuki kept to himself. He didn't want to love anyone else. He didn't want to even interact with anyone, trying not to catch feels. But, deep down, his heart was just waiting for someone to come and rescue him from the shitful life he's been living.

𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯?

Katsuki lost the trust he had for many people. Most likely because he was too exhausted to deal with their bullshit. And more importantly, he didn't want to get too attached to someone and have them leave out of nowhere.

𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙪𝙥 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩
𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙄'𝙢 𝙖𝙡𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩

Shoto tried his best to sleep. But insomnia kept him up. What was the cause of his insomnia? The reason was because of Shoto's stupid decision to leave Katsuki. He tried his best to tell himself that he did the right thing and that he'd be alright. But, in reality, he really didn't feel alright.

𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲, 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭

Katsuki and Shoto listened back to their old voice messages and a cover they had done together. They had a common genre in songs and sang a cover of Fly Me to the Moon.
They both listened to it over and over again, in an attempt to get over eachother.

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐈'𝐦 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭

They both needed each other, and they knew it. Playing their cover, they danced to one another's ghost. Holding the air as if they were holding eachother. Of course, they always stopped a few seconds after. They knew they were meant for eachother.

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐈'𝐦 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭

And of course, they eventually got over eachother, finding someone else to do the dancing with them.

Sadly, that was only a dream they had of finding someone else.
