*moans* "Oh my god!! Where am I?" Flashbacks of last night came into my head. I checked the time and it was 7:30 a.m. I jumped out of his bed and grabbed my clothes. "You ain't go make it on time." Rayjon was sitting up in the bed. "I have to." He got up out of bed and slipped on his boxers and went into his closet. He came out with a red v-neck shirt with a denim skirt and black tights.
"Wear this and take a shower. I'll have some necessities you can use waiting for you." I ran to his bathroom and took a quick shower. I got out of the shower and he had a towel with some necessities laying on top. I grabbed the towel and dried off while I brush my teeth and wash my face. I grabbed the lotion and started putting lotion on my body. I slipped on some underwear and put on the clothes he gave me. I did my hair and walked out of the bathroom to see a pair of shoes on the bed. I grabbed the shoes and slipped them on.
I found my phone and I saw I had a bunch of missed calls from my friends. Oh gosh I left my friends at my house. I was about to get an Uber but Rayjon walked into the room with clothes on. "You don't have to get an Uber. I'll take you to school." I sighed. "I have to get my stuff from my house. Plus I have choir practice after school." "Okay.
Just tell me your address and we can stop by to get your stuff." I didn't have enough time to wait on an Uber, so I shrugged my shoulders and walked out the room behind him. We walked out his door and a nice white Tahoe was waiting on us. He opened the door to the passenger side and I got in. He got in and drove off. I told him my address and he typed it into the GPS. We pulled up to my gate and I leaned over him and typed in the pin. The gates opened and he drove through. I got out and ran up the steps and looked under the rug for the spare key.
I opened the door and ran upstairs to my room and grabbed my backpack. I checked the time and it was 8:10 a.m. I am SUPER late. I ran back down the stairs and locked the front door and got in Rayjon's car. He pulled off and headed to my school. He pulled up at my school. "Thank you." "You don't have to thank me. You can give me your number though." I rolled my eyes and put my number in his phone and got out his car.
My phone started ringing. I looked and it was Kristina. "Hello." "Where in the hell were you?" My mouth dropped. "Umm, I ended up falling asleep at the club." "How the hell you fall asleep in a club?" "I was tired. I'm about to walk into class. Bye." I hung up and went into Algebra I College Prep.
Taioni gave me the evil eye as I sat in the seat beside her. She looked at me and whispered, "I know yo ass didn't go to no damn club. Where did you really go?" I sighed. "Tell me. I won't tell anybody." I shook my head. "No. I went to the club. End of conversation." Mrs. Curring had stopped talking and looked at us. I looked forward and she continued on with the lesson. All through class Rayjon was on my mind.
The final bell rang and I grabbed all of my stuff and walked out the classroom. I was walking down the hallway until somebody stopped me. "Miesha!" I turned around and Raymond Cortez, a tall caramel muscular muthafucker, was running towards me. "Sup Raymond." "Umm, I wanna ask are you doing anything tonight?" I thought about it. "Actually I am. The girls and I are hanging out tonight, but we can hang out tomorrow." He smiled. "Okay. I'll hold that on to you. See you tomorrow." He kisses my cheek and took off down the hall.
I pulled out my Optimus 4G and called Kristina. "Hello."Where are you? I need a ride to my choir practice." "I'm in the parking lot with my boyfriend. Bring ya ass." She hung up. I sighed and started walking out the doors. I saw her at her car kissing her boyfriend. I walked up to them and cleared my throat. They both looked at me. "I gotta go babe." I opened the passenger door and got in. She got in and started up her car. She pulled out of the parking lot.
"You can't fool me Miesha. I know you didn't fall asleep at the club." I sighed. "Yes I did. How about we go back to the club tonight?" "Don't try and change the subject, but we can go out tonight." "Okay I'll call Brea and see if she wants to come. I picked up my phone and called Brea. "Hello." "Brea, are you doing anything tonight?" "Naw. I was thinking about going to Red-hot. You coming or nah?" "Yea, but I have choir practice." I heard her going through some racks. "Okay. Call me when you're done." "Okay." I hung up. "Brea says she's down so you have to see if Taioni is going. "Okay." She pulled in the church parking lot. "Do you need me to pick you up?" "No. My dad should be picking me up. I'll let you know when I make it home." I got out of her car and walked up to the church.
I checked the time and I was a minute late. "There you are. You're late." Mrs. Dearn was with somebody at the piano. "I'm sorry. I had to do something after school."
I sat with everybody else in the pew and Mrs. Dearn started talking. "Today our pianist, Tayjon, decided to come today." She looked at Tayjon and rolled her eyes. "N-E-Way, we have a special guest coming to visit us and he may be a rapper, but he also know something about gospel music. Give a round of applause for Rayjon Herrington." My eyes went wide. Rayjon walked in and gave Mrs. Dearn a hug. I felt sick to my stomach. I thought the room was spinning.
He turned toward us and his eyes landed on mine. "I hear you're singing Take Me To The King by Tamela Mann. That's my favorite song by her. I wanna hear it." We got up and went to the pulpit and I walked up to the mic. "Whenever you're ready," said Mrs. Dearn to Tayjon. Rayjon had a smirk on his face and he crossed his arms. Tayjon gave me a thumbs up and he started playing. The choir started singing. When it was my turn, I sang my heart out.
When we reached the end of the song, Rayjon was clapping his hands. "You," he pointed at me. "Why are you moving so much? You have ants in your pants?" I rolled my eyes. "I tell her the same thing. I really don't know why she has to move from side to side." I had enough of this. "WELL IF YOU'RE SO TIRED OF ME DOING IT THEN WHY DON'T YOU MAKE ONE OF THEM SING SOLO THEN!!!" I got down from the pulpit and walked out of the church.
