Hey guys! So this is my new story. This is going to be a prequel to both my stories "Angel's Child" and "Children of Demigods". "Angel's Child will be a story about Violet and Lincoln's child, and "Children of Demigods" will be about the children of the seven.

Love,

Chapter One: Meeting

Violet Eden-Wood hadn't faced an exile that she couldn't beat in a long time.

But then again, there was no way this was an exile.

For one, the person was a girl. Exiles never chose a female body. Second, she hadn't mentioned taking over the world once, and she seemed reluctant to fight her.

"This would be a lot easier if you just listened to us!" The girl said as she blew her choppy brown hair out of her eyes. She had color-changing eyes, which weren't the only thing that indicated she was more than human. Her dagger, although not Grigori, was clearly not of this world.

"And you need to listen to me! I'm not one of these- these- demi-somethings!" Violet shouted back.

The girl glanced over at her partner, who was sparring Lincoln, sword against dagger.

"A demigod," the girl clarified. "Although you're a little old to be claimed... are you a Roman? An Amazon?"

"No!" Violet looked at her in confusion. "I'm a Grigori! And it looks like you're one, too."

"What's a Grigori?" the girl asked, just as Lincoln hit the boy over the head with his dagger.

"Jason!" the girl screamed. She ran over to him and knelt beside him, cradling his head in her lap. "Stay with me!"

"Who are you people?" Lincoln asked. The girl looked up at them, panic in her eyes.

"Clearly there's been a misunderstanding," the girl said. "My name's Piper Grace, and I'm a demigod. You guys clearly aren't. If you come back with us, we can explain everything."

Violet glanced at Lincoln. They both knew that these people were more than human.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" Lincoln guided her by the elbow so that their backs were facing Piper.

"What do you think about all of this?" Lincoln asked.

Violet shrugged. "They're good fighters. Really good. I don't think that they want to hurt us, and I do think that we need to learn more about who they are- they're definitely not human."

Lincoln ran his hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, but I don't agree. They could be dangerous. If we go somewhere with them, there could be more of them. Who's to say that they aren't exiles?"

"Well, one's a girl," Violet said. "and they don't seem insane. Besides-" she slipped her hand into his- "we can take care of ourselves."

Lincoln sighed. "Okay. But if they try to fight us again, I'm calling Griffin."

"Thank you!" Violet said. Turning to the so-called "demigods" she was surprised to see that the boy was awake and standing upright, although he had to lean against Piper. "we'll come with you," she said.

Piper smiled grimly. "Great. This is Jason Grace," she said, gesturing to the boy. Jason gave a weak wave.

"I'm Lincoln Wood, and this is Violet Eden-Wood." Lincoln said. "Where exactly are we going?"

Piper started to walk east, Jason leaning against her. Violet and Lincoln followed her.

"We're going to a camp," Piper finally said. "One of the only safe places for demigods."

"Like you," Violet said. "What exactly is a demigod?"

Piper waited a moment before responding. "We'll explain everything when we get there. But all you need to know for now is that we thought you were one, too."

Violet nodded and continued to follow them. Eventually, they reached the top of a hill where they could see a strawberry field and dozens of cabins ringing a large clearing. Piper walked towards a large blue house behind the strawberry field, ignoring the looks of surprise other people gave them.

"Piper!" a man with floppy blonde hair and blue eyes ran towards them. "Is Jason okay?"

Jason waved his hand. "I'm fine, Will," he said hoarsely. "I'm fine."

Will eyes Lincoln and Violet. "Are these the demigods? They seem..."

"Old?" Piper nodded. "That's because they're adults. And they're not demigods."

"Okay..." Will looked at them for another moment before turning back to Piper and Jason. "Chiron's waiting for you in the Big House."

"Great," Piper said. "Can you call in the rest of the team?"

"Um," Will flinched. "I can call in most of the team, but Katie and Travis are a bit... occupied."

"Why?" Piper asked. Her hand flew to her mouth as realization dawned on her face. "Oh. Oh!"

Will nodded. "Yeah. She gave birth. A little boy named Maverick."

"I can't believe I missed it!" Piper looked angry for a moment until they heard a high, distinctly feminine scream.

"That sounded like Katie!" Piper started to run towards the infirmary, but Will stopped her.

"It's not Katie," Will said with a smile. "Just her very loud daughter."

"Daughter?!" Piper looked at him in surprise. "You said that she had a boy!"

Will's smile got bigger. "Not just a boy. She had twins- Maverick and Waverly."

Piper grinned. "So exciting! So I assume you and Nico won't be able to come to the meeting, either."

Will shook his head. "Juniper and Grover can't come, either. They're in Maine, meeting with the Hedges. Also Hazel and Frank are in New Rome."

Jason frowned. "Isn't Juniper seven months pregnant? Is it safe for her to travel?"

Will shook his head. "It's not, but I couldn't stop her. Or Clarisse and Chris."

"Clarisse is four months pregnant- she shouldn't be traveling, either!"

Piper sighed. "So... just me, Jason, Percy, Annabeth, Calypso, and Leo."

"Well... maybe not Annabeth. She took Adrian to work with her today." Will said.

Jason rolled his eyes. "Today of all days!"

"But Adrian is so cute!" Piper said. "He's a one-year-old Percy!"

"You think all one-year-olds are cute." Jason argued.

"I'll go get Percy, Calypso, and Leo," Will interrupted.

Piper sighed again. "Not the turnout I was expecting," she muttered.

"Um..." Violet looked at them in confusion. "Who are all those people?"

"They're demigods," Jason responded. "Well, Adrian's the son of demigods, which makes him a legacy."

"Come on," Piper said. "Everyone's probably waiting." she turned to Violet and Lincoln. "And you guys probably want some answers."
