Hey guys! So here's the next chapter. So after this story I will be starting a new one called Angel's Child, which will be about Lincoln and Violet's child. Skye will be featured in one chapter as well as Adrian. Then I will finish Children of Demigods, and after that I have a new story that I really want to start.
Love,

Chapter Eight: Mountaintop
"I'm not sure about this," Violet said as Jason put his arms around her waist.
"I'm sorry if this makes you feel uncomfortable," Jason said as he started to fly them upwards.
"It's not that," Violet said as she watched the ground fall away. "It's just... what if it hurts the baby?"
"You'll be fine!" Piper called from the top as her and Lincoln peered down at them. Jason had flown them up just before Violet.
When Violet's feet touched the ground, she couldn't help but sigh in relief. Jason, meanwhile, collapsed. A thin sheen of sweat coated his forehead.
"Are you okay?" Piper asked as she helped him stand.
"Yeah," Jason said. "It's just that a full-grown man and two pregnant women is a bit much to carry, even for me."
"Are you commenting about my weight?" Violet snapped.
Jason opened and closed his mouth, trying to find a response. Finally he just gulped and shook his head.
Violet gave him a tight-lipped smile. "Kidding." she inspected her dagger. "Mostly."
"Alright," Lincoln said, rolling his eyes. "Jokes aside, how are we going to defeat Garnet? If she's anything like Lilith, she can control air."
"She definitely got the psycho gene," Violet muttered.
"Well, if she's like Hazel, she can control gems and tunnels underground," Piper said. She pursed her lips. "But if she's like Nico, she might be able to control the dead."
"We might have to accept that she can do all of the above," Jason sighed and ran a hand through his air. "And she has the Immortality."
"We won't have to worry about that," Piper said. "well, not really. Only descendants of Dionysus can use the stone. I alerted Dionysus, and he told us that once we got the stone he would find a much better place to hide it."
"Coming from Mr D, that is not comforting in the slightest," Jason muttered.
"I spoke to Phoenix," Violet said. "he told me that I could cross over with Garnet and bring her to the angels like I did with Lilith. And I talked to Nox and Uri," she glanced at Lincoln. "You'll need to be my anchor."
"Done," Lincoln said as he squeezed her shoulder reassuringly.
"There's one more thing," Violet said. "I can't be pregnant when I cross over. So... they told me that they would "arrange it" so that I could give birth sooner rather than later."
Lincoln frowned. "Violet, you're only six months along. We're at the top of a mountain- you're going to have to give birth here. And isn't that interfering?"
Violet took a deep breath. "I know. And it is. But... Linc, we have to do this. We have to stop Garnet."
"We don't even know what she wants," Piper said.
"Revenge, probably," Jason answered. "She could potentially destroy the Immortality rather than use it. Then the gods would be thrown into chaos, and with them the demigods. Monsters would overrun cities, and they would eventually hunt Grigori, too. The exiles would tip the scales and the world would be ripe for the picking."
Piper looked at him in shock. "That was... surprisingly thought out. And correct."
"So it's settled," Violet said. "Today I'll give birth. Tomorrow we fight Garnet."
"Where will the baby go?" Lincoln shook his head. "I don't like this."
"I can get Nico to shadow-travel up here and take the baby to New Rome," Piper said. "It'll be safe there."
"Unless it dies," Violet said. "You heard Tiresias- a child must die."
"But it won't be yours, or Piper's," Lincoln insisted as he put his arm around her waist. "This will work. It has to."
"Are you convincing us, or yourself?" Jason asked.
Lincoln looked angry for a moment, but just shook his head. "We shouldn't fight."
"I'm not sure if we should be relying on just Violet to win this," Jason argued. "We are a team."
"I know that," Lincoln glared at him. "But unless you have a better idea-"
"Guys, stop!" Violet shouted. "This is exactly what Garnet wants- for us to tear ourselves apart."
"Violet is perfectly capable of ending this!" Lincoln jabbed at Jason's chest. "You just want to be the hero, to come out with a sense of accomplishment!"
"Guys," Piper looked panicked as she spoke.
"Maybe that's what you want!" Jason said, ignoring her. "To have the bragging rights of saying your wife saved the world!"
"Guys!" Piper shouted.
Lincoln laughed. "Violet's already saved the world. Multiple times, actually."
"Stop!" Violet said. "This fighting is not good for any of us, especially the ones who are pregnant!"
Jason opened his mouth to respond, but was cut off by the sound of Piper gasping.
"Pipes!" Jason rushed to her side. "Are you okay?"
Lincoln stared at the bloody puddle of water that was pooling around Piper's feet. "That's not good," he said.
Piper looked up at them, her eyes huge and full of fear. "My water just broke. This baby's coming. Now."
