The Dark Shadow And His Muse

Chapter One - Encounter

Two years have passed since Class 1-A graduated from UA High. In that time, Fumikage Tokoyami and Kyoka Jiro have established themselves as top Pro Heroes. One night, Jiro volunteers to help Tokoyami on a patrol. On a building overlooking the city, Jiro admires the view.

Jiro: Man it's a beautiful night out here!

Tokoyami: I agree. Thank you for patrolling with me. Your help is much appreciated.

Jiro: T...thanks! It's....it's no problem at all......

Jiro lightly blushed at Tokoyami's comments. She had always had a crush on him back in her days in UA. She had always admired his heroic sense of justice. Even being near him made her have butterflies in her stomach. Tokoyami notices this.

Tokoyami: Jiro? Are you okay? You seem.....flustered.

Jiro quickly turns around and tries to hide her blush.

Jiro: I'm....I'm fine! Just a little nervous that's all! 

Suddenly, a scream was heard. 

Tokoyami: Looks like someone's in trouble. Let's go check it out! 

Jiro: Got it! (Way to go Jiro. Way to make yourself look like a total idiot in front of your crush! Smooth Jiro. Real smooth.)

Tokoyami and Jiro jump down the building and began following the scream. Meanwhile in an alleyway, the Ripper was fighting against the Martial Arts Hero: Tailman also known as Mashirao Ojiro. As the Ripper cups him up with his blood scythe, the Ripper laughs.

The Ripper: They just don't make Heroes like they used to. I mean "Tailman"? What the fuck were you thinking?! That's about as original as Superman! 

Ojiro: You're going down Villain!

Ojiro attempts to hit the Ripper with his tail, but the Ripper dodges the attack at slashes at Ojiro's side. He then uses his Quirk to take some of Ojiro's blood and forms a small blade. He then throws the blade and pierces his shoulder.

Ojiro: Argh!

Ojiro falls to the ground as the Ripper prances around and looks down on Ojiro with a sadistic smile. 

The Ripper: Now let's get to cutting!

Before the Ripper could finish Ojiro off, Tokoyami summons Dark Shadow to attack the Ripper while Jiro rushes to Ojiro.

Jiro: Tailman! Are you okay?

Ojiro: I'm...I'm fine....argh.....

The Ripper quickly recovers from Dark Shadow's attack and scans the scene around him. Upon seeing this, the Ripper lets out a sinister laugh. 

The Ripper: Well goddamn Billy Jack! More fucking Heroes! We got ourselves a big fucking gathering!

Tokoyami: Why did you attack Tailman?

The Ripper: I was getting bored. It's been a bit since I killed something! I was about to kill Tailman over here till you two got here! Now that you're here, the Ripper is about have some fun!

Jiro: The Ripper?! You mean that villain that escaped the mental hospital?!

The Ripper: The very same one! Now who's first to die! The Punk Rock Chick?! Or the Bird?! So many options!

Tokoyami quickly realizes that the Ripper was a dangerous opponent that was not to be underestimated. He turns to Jiro.

Tokoyami: Earphone Jack, watch over Tailman. 

Jiro: What about you Tsukuyomi? 

Tokoyami: I'll take care of him. 

The Ripper lets out a sinister laugh as he formed a blood scythe from the cut on his arm. Tokoyami takes notice of his Quirk and summons Dark Shadow.

Tokoyami: Dark Shadow. Attack. 

Dark Shadow began attacking the Ripper as he began slashing at Dark Shadow, but the attack was ineffective. Dark Shadow landed a devastating blow on the Ripper and sent him flying to a wall. The Ripper quickly gets up.

The Ripper: All right Hero! Now it's getting fun! 

The Ripper then charges at Tokoyami and managed to get past Tokoyami. He lands a slash at Tokoyami's side. 

Jiro: TSUKUYOMI!

The Ripper begins slashing at Tokoyami. He attempts to summon Dark Shadow, but the pain from the Ripper's scythe. Jiro is horrified at the sight of the Ripper playing with Tokoyami. Ojiro speaks with her.

Ojiro: J...Jiro.....go.....go help him...

Jiro: What about you?!

Ojiro: I'll be fine....go help Tokoyami.....

Jiro then rushed to Tokoyami's side and used her Earphone Jacks to pull the blood scythe out of the Ripper's hands. She then kicks him in the face. 

The Ripper: This just got even more interesting! But try this on for size!

The Ripper then slammed his hands to the ground. As he did that, blood spikes rose from the ground and attempts to impale both Tokoyami and Jiro. Despite the speed of the spikes, Tokoyami and Jiro were able to dodge the spikes. Seeing this annoys the Ripper. 

The Ripper: You two are really starting to annoy me! Just lay down and die already! 

But as the Ripper was about to attack, the sound of police sirens were heard.

The Ripper: Goddamn it! As much fun as this was, I think it's time we parted ways! I'll kill you two next time!

The Ripper makes a run for it and manages to escape. Jiro tends to the wounded Tokoyami.

Jiro: Tokoyami! Are you okay?!

Tokoyami: I'm fine. We...we have to go pursue......

But as Tokoyami gets up, the wounds sustained from the Ripper causes him to stagger a bit. Jiro immediately stops him.

Jiro: Don't push yourself Tokoyami! You need medical attention! 

Tokoyami: We have to catch him! The city won't be safe as long as the Ripper runs free!

Jiro: You can't stop him in the state you're in! While the police take Ojiro to a hospital, we'll go to Yaomomo. She'll be able help stitch your wounds. 

Tokoyami hesitates for a moment. He wanted to go after the Ripper and stop him, but he finally relents and accepts Jiro's request.

Tokoyami: Okay......

Jiro then hugs him.

Jiro: T....thank you.....

Tokoyami and Jiro managed to save Ojiro from becoming another victim of the Ripper. But it will not be the last they see of the Ripper.
