It's dark.
I don't see anything.
Am I dead?
Did I really kill myself?
I try to open my eyes, but they won't open.
I hear voices.
"Is she gonna be okay?" a man askes.
"yes! It's gonna take time, but she will get better. She might need a rehab but she will walk again!" someone says.
What? I will walk again? I try to move my legs. Nothing. I Beginn to panic. Then I feel something strange. Someone put something in my body. And suddenly... I calm down. I feel tired and fall back in the darkness of nowhere.
There... There are the voices again... But... I can't understand what they are saying...
I try to open my eyes. Nothing... Then I fall asleep again.
Slowly I try to open my eyes again... I... I see a little light. And I hear something beeping. It's a regular beeping. I finally open my eyes and I see.... Not much... I'm lying in a white bed. The room is painted white. On my right side there is a window. It's dark outside. On my left, there are some mashines with some numbers. I have no idea what it is... I try to sit up, but I can't move! I... I... I just can't move! I start to panic! What... What should I do? Suddenly I someone coming in. A man. I don't know him. He sees I'm awake and he runs out! WHAT THE FUCK DUDE? COME BACK! I NEED HELP! A few seconds later the door opens and some people in white capes come in. I think they are doctors. The man without the cape, sits next to me.
"Sara please calm down. I beg you stop trying to move!" I Don't know him but his voice sounds familiar. The sound of his voice calms me down.
"do you know who I am?" he ask me.
Slowly I shake my head.
"do you know who you are?" one of the doctors ask.
I nod. I know who I am. I'm Sara.
"do you know why you are here?" another doctor asks.
I shake my head.
"do you want to know?" the man ask me.
I nod.
"2 weeks ago, it was your 16th birthday, you tried to kill yourself. You wanted to jump off a bridge. Before you ask, yes you jumped. You had luck. You didn't die!"
"or no luck at all" I whisper.
He ignore it or he didn't hear it.
"You have to stay here a couple of weeks. If yoh get well quick just one or 2." A doctor said. "we had to operate. You had some broken rips and your spiral column is broken but you were lucky. We could fix it and you'll walk again. Furthermore you had a big hole in your head we could fix too."
"Who are you?" I asked.
The man next to me looked worried at me.
"you really don't remember?", he asked.
I shake my head.
"I'm James. Your supervisor."
"okay" I say. "I'm tired. I want to sleep."
"that's normal" the doctor say. "Mr. Rule? Come on. Let her sleep."
"is it okay if I stay?" he asks
The doctor looks at me.
"I don't care" I say. And James take that as a yes. He stands up and takes a chair and sit down between me and the window. As he were worried that I would jump... 🙄
Then I close my eyes and fall back into the darkness.
