Eve

CHAPTER 1

"Hey there woman in that sexy brown dress, that is showing underwear she's wearing, what has it been 5 years?" Asked Mydi with a big smile on her face

"Mydi! Oh my god I missed you so much." I turned around and hug her as tight as possible "Yes it's been five long years,But I thought you were my best friend and you were the one I Skype with everyday since l left" I added

"Oh yes I'm the one!" She said excitedly

"Everyone Detective Harmony is back with us after five long long years! " Mydi yell getting everyone's attention

To my surprise they all stop what they were doing and start clapping. After two minutes of all that I couldn't feel more welcome.

"Since the murders aren't killing anybody in New York right now let's go to the morgue and catch up for all times sake"

"Mydi what have we been doing via Skype for the last few years" I sarcastically asked

"We've been catching up but not with Rayon" she answered

"So true. Let's go"

"Hold up just one minute and since I'm black that simple means one hour" A very familiar male voice stopped us

"Captain Samuel how are you doing sir?"

Captain Samuel is the best captain anyone could asked for, when he needs to be funny he will be. But when it come on to solving murders it's a different story. He is like a father to me, his wife is an amazing woman. She sometimes come here from what I recall five years ago.

"Detective Eve Harmony can I speak to you in my office privately." He said more of a statement than a question

"Sure Sir"

Something tells me I wasn't going to like it or maybe it's just my mind playing with me. Conversations are always easy with my captain, Knowing how I left I doubt it will be easy.

At least I know it would be a civilized conversation. I know that because Captain Samuel doesn't have another.

We entered his office, for about five minutes or more we were there just sitting in the quiet sound proof room.

I thought to myself why would he called me in here to just sit down?

"Sir did you want something?" I said breaking the silence

"You gave me a letter of resignation and just left, how about we start there?"

"Well I had somethings I needed to do,  to deal with."

"Eve my Precinct has been a mess since you left. The part that piss me off the most is you left because of Malikai"

"Captain no offense or anything but what happened between Detective Clancy and I is none of your business" I snapped

"Oh yes it is, this messed up my Precinct!"

"Okay I left and don't forget you were the one who hunted me down in Italy and called me back here, don't ever forget that! A matter of fact we don't have anything else to talk about" I got up and walked out of Samuel's office

I knew he wanted to talk about Malikai and I, which is none of his damn business by the way. I was living a good life in Italy, and now I'm back and he's talking about letter of resignation. If he has nothing good to tell me then why call me to his office trying to make small talk or whateer you call it about Malikai and I.

"You alright Eve?" Mydi asked

"I will be when I reach to Rayon's morgue

"Well let's go then"
