The carnival was crowded and all you could hear was the sound of people screaming and laughing.

Jesy held your hand as you walked through the crowd of people. She was looking around for what to do next when she saw something from the corner of her eye - a haunted house. "Look y/n. A haunted house! Will you go in with me?"

You winced. You hate haunted houses, everything about them was horrid and you haven't been inside one for a long time. But for Jesy, you'd do anything. You sighed and gave in to her. "As long as you'll hold my hand." Jesy smiled and brought your hand up to her lips, pressing a few kisses to it before intertwining it with hers and walking up to the haunted house.

Once you were inside your grip on her hand tightened. You already didn't like this and it was only starting. You whined and Jesy gave your a hand a squeeze, a simple but comforting reminder that she was right there with you. "I've got you. I won't let you go, I promise."

Everything was fine for another moment until you started to walk down a dark hallway and a guy in a clown mask jumped out at you. "No!" You screamed and buried your head in Jesy's shirt. She giggled and rubbed your back before turning you around and stepping in front of you, her hand back in yours as she guided you down the hallway.

"I don't like this. Do you think it's almost over?" Jesy looked down the hallway and frowned. "I don't know, lovely. But i'm right here with you, okay? I'm in front of you to keep you protected. Nothing's gonna hurt ya." She said as you entered another dark hallway, your knees shaking underneath you.

You squeezed your eyes shut and hoped that it was almost over. Suddenly a guy wielding a fake chainsaw came out from next to you and you screamed, your eyes filling with tears before Jesy started to run down the hallway with you right behind her.

Her grip was tight to make sure that she wouldn't lose you. A few other things popped out at you and would scream in your ear or try to taunt you until you finally reached the exit moments later. Jesy walked you down the steps and you both sat down on the ground, your face in her neck as she held you tight and kept you safe. "I've got you. It's over now."

You sighed, exhaling deeply a few times as your heart rate started to return to normal again. "Okay, you decide what to do next." Jesy said as she helped you stand up and you started to walk through the crowd once more. "Food!" Jesy laughed but nodded her head, buying you whatever you wanted and letting you eat before you decided to call it a night and go home.
