It's so easy to focus on everything we think we lack in life. We might not have the shoes we want, but we have feet. We might not have the biggest room in the house, but we have a place to rest our heads at night. We might not be where we want to be, but we are exactly where God needs us to be.
I'm reading through the book of Jeremiah and learning some serious life lessons. God is all we need. Running to the world won't fulfill us. The Israelites failed to remember this time and time again. They made false gods and began to follow the way of the world when God called them to be set apart. If we follow in their footsteps, we will see that turning our backs on God will leave us with empty promises. With Him, each promise He makes is a guarantee.
It is never too late and you are never too far gone to turn to your Heavenly Father. I encourage you to ask God to reveal to you the things that you are setting above Him. Ask Him to help you surrender those things so He can take His rightful place as the center of your life. He's ready to bless you with abundant life and eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.
