"okay, the cafe at 3. love you, seokie! bye!" yuto had a grin on his face unlike one he had had in weeks. wooseok was taking him on a lovely date. it was at a small and quaint cafe, named la vie en rose. they hadn't gone on a date since the sledding date, and yuto wanted to spend some honest time with him. lately, it seemed like wooseok had less and less time for him. he didn't want to seem greedy or clingy, but yuto was...well...lonely. alone in seoul, waiting patiently for his boyfriend to never arrive at his apartment. but today, wooseok made a special reservation and had all of his day especially for yuto, and that made him very pleased.
picking out a lavish outfit, it was a silk collared shirt with a rose embroidered onto the pocket. the shirt was indeed a dusty rose color, with silver buttons that caught quite a few eyes. dress pants and lace lolita shoes with it, his outfit was complete. he quietly changed into it and prepared himself mentally. okay yuto, this is your first REAL date. you guys were still friends when you went sledding. it's an expensive café, and he probably paid lots of money to get a reservation. don't act clingy, baby, or dumb. just...make sure he still loves you.
inhaling and exhaling, he picked up his phone and read his newest text from wooseok.
seokie💞
hey, baby, i'm waiting for you here...called you an uber so you'd get here faster. can't wait ✨
read 3:02WHAT??? oh no, it's past three, you're late, oh no oh no oh no- a car honked the horn outside, interrupting his anxiety. gasping, he quickly shoved his phone, keys, and stress ball into a cream coloured purse, and headed out the door. the limousine wooseok had sent was large, sleek, and polished, it had a driver standing tall out front patiently waiting to open the door, just like a celebrity's car. giggling, he mustered a 'hi' and made his way into the car as the chauffeur opened the door. inside the car, there was an ice bucket, with dom perignon inside. it was dimly lit, and the seats were cushioned and padded. yuto couldn't stop blushing, wooseok had really done everything for him. turning around, he gasped even louder as an extravagant and large bouquet of roses paid behind him in a frosted vase.
they were a crimson color, with strawberry highlights and swirls of magenta. yuto picked up the small silver tag and it brought a tear to his eye as he saw the message. "to my one and true love, atachi yuto." yuto had never felt so loved. booted out of the house at fifteen by his homophobic family, he never felt loved. he lived in a homeless shelter until he had gathered up enough money for an apartment in korea and moved, and the other strangers were cold to him for being a teenage boy with no story. dating all over the edges, he had never found someone who wasn't a playboy with morals. they were always aggressive and lustful, doing drugs in the bathroom, or making yuto perform sexual favors on them in public places. he felt a bit of liking ness to it, but sometimes he just felt pressured. like if he said no, he would break. but wooseok was so different...he cared. he truly cared.
"excuse me? we're here." the driver said. "o-oh!" yuto fumbled. "t-thank you! bye!" he hopped out of the car and gazed at the lovely café before him. the outside was a polished amber wood, with small string lights surrounding the carved sign reading la vie en rose café. it was like a fairy's palace, it was so enchanting. stepping inside, the walls were a sleek white marble, and the tables were softwood with a silver outline. all the tables had their own canopies as to hide couples to give them their own privacy. and of course, beaded string lights covered every aspect of the café. gazing in shock, yuto wandered over to the wait table. the petite woman's name tag read baekah. "u-uh, hi...baekah. i am meeting up with someone, wooseok?" baekah gasped. "of course, of course! wooseok is right at the table in the back, with the largest sitting space. here, i'll take you." yuto felt a little uncomfortable-why did baekah talk about wooseok like she knew him?
giggling, she leads him gracefully to the peach-colored canopy. it looked like a child's tent, lighting up with pastel colours. she smiled and gestured for him to go inside. she started to take her away back to the waiting table as yuto hesitantly went into the canopied tent. as soon as he poked his head in, he was greeted with a sweet kiss from wooseok. he stroked his face and cupped it lightly, passionately hugging yuto. yuto, on the other hand, was shocked and blushing. wooseok was such a sweetheart! finally, wooseok pulled away from yuto. in his deep voice, he whispered, "hey baby." yuto laughed and tackled wooseok. the area around them was different, there was a soft white rug on the floor with throw pillows and cream coloured beanbag chairs. there wasn't a table with them, just the soft decor. "what is all this?" yuto asked.
wooseok smiled. "i actually don't know. i just thought you'd like it." wooseok's face fell as he fiddled with his fingers. "d-do you like it?" yuto lightly punched him in the arm and yelled, "of course i like it, idiot! i love you." laughing, talking and kissing, the time was passing by so fast that they hadn't even ordered anything yet. soon, they had started to get a little bit bored. yuto was straddled in wooseok's lap as they began to whisper romantically. all of a sudden, a girl popped her head into the tent holding her phone. "wooseok-oppa!! saranghae!!" she had her flash on and she was a little overweight with square glasses. she took many pictures as they protested and covered their eyes from the bright light. "hehe." she giggled. "aw, does wooseok-oppa have a boyfriend? the fan cafe will be so excited!"
she giggled maniacally and ran out. "seok...what the fuck was that?" wooseok ignored him, he was just as confused. that girl was so familiar...did they take pictures here or something? or was it-i've got it. she was at the crystal nightmare release. the fan meet. but if she found where i am, then oh no. saesang. wooseok quickly picked yuto up and placed him on the furry rug. "i am so fucking sorry. just wait here, i will be RIGHT back i promise." wooseok quickly dashed out and started to run after the saesang. "yah! hey! wait up!" the girl turned around as she looked excited and gasped. "it's just like a drama...will you ask me to be your girlfriend instead of that ugly boy?" wooseok was furious inside, but tried to control his temper. wooseok. get a hold of yourself. she's just a saesang. she has no control over you. don't let her words hurt you.
"no, but i need to make a deal with you." she tilted her head with a cocky glance as if she was having provocative thoughts. "no, NOT THAT KIND OF DEAL." she giggled, flirting, but it had no effect on him. "no one can see those photos, okay? i can pay you, give you a kiss or something, but no one can see those pictures. you can't post those on the fan cafe. how do you even have access to that?" she winked and put her index finger over her mouth like she was protecting her secret. "well...a kiss sounds nice. on the cheek." wooseok grimaced and buried his head in his hands. "sure. fine." little did he know, there were five other sasaengs hiding in the cafe. rich girls who had made it into the cafe with their daddy's money, and had just received the photos airdropped from the first sasaeng's phone. they came very preparedly. the girl tapped her cheek, signaling for him to kiss it there. sighing, he lightly kissed her cheek. he tried to smile so it seemed more genuine, but he just ended up making a half-grimace half-smile. she pulled away and tried to bat her eyelashes. "i'll see you soon...wooseok." she left the cafe, with the other sasaengs following quietly.
back at the tent, yuto had been watching the whole time. he couldn't hear anything, but he saw him giving a kiss to her. there was nothing that could explain what just happened. it was really strange, some girl just busted their privacy, made wooseok kiss her, and then leave? nothing was adding up...it didn't make sense. and it seemed oh-so-familiar to those nights ago. why had wooseok left so abruptly? what just happened? and why did that girl take pictures of them? as far as yuto knew, wooseok had a job at a tax evasion office. he had told him that on their third dinner meetup . "oh, un, i actually work at a tax evasion office. yeah, i know, boring. but it pays!" so who was hiding something? and what could it be? wait for a second...it's so obvious. how did i not notice before? obviously, it's-
