3 months later
yuto stumbled out of bed in a sad state. he had turned into a complete mess after what happened with wooseok. he turned silent, no longer having anything he had to pursue. the emptiness came with the loneliness, it was like a rock in his stomach that followed him around. he hadn't left the house in 3 weeks, and when he did he walked two blocks to a liquor store. he ended up drinking a bottle of whiskey and passing out in his closet. he hadn't even showered in days.
he had no motivation. his life was just an endless cycle, wake up, do nothing, and go to bed, and cry. the last time he saw wooseok was when he was at the cube building, trying to stop yuto from leaving. wooseok almost cried trying to keep him in his arms. last he heard wooseok was removed from the group and had his contract cut immediately. but frankly, yuto could care less. he was betrayed, so there was no reason to be concerned over wooseok anyway. he had moved almost ten miles away from his old apartment, and he was now living in a much nicer place. it was convenient because wooseok couldn't find him and he was content keeping it that way. but drinking wasn't the only bad habit he had fallen into. lighting a cigarette, yuto pushed through two glass doors to the balcony. he brought it to his lips and puffed on it. he coughed loudly, scaring away birds flying near the balcony. he wasn't used to smoking. his sister became extremely concerned for him when it had almost gotten too much for him. he quit for her. and yet, the only thing on his mind lately was wooseok, even when there was so much more to life. he knew that he couldn't live without him. but he couldn't go back to him, it was wrong.
" shut up, yuto. you'll hurt yourself again. how could you go back to someone who will do nothing but lies?" he tossed the cigarette to the grass below him and headed back into his living room. sighing and sitting back down on his couch, he wanted alcohol. whenever he thought about something that he shouldn't (wooseok) he would stuff his throat with any kind of liquor. whiskey, wine, beer, spirits, it was the way for him to forget everything. getting a flask with the finest booze he had, he took a swing and then two. two turned into ten, and before he could realize how tipsy he was, he had passed out.
"pick up, pick up, pick up, please..."
once again, wooseok was calling yuto. he called him once every hour, and well...it had been four weeks. five hundred and four calls. it was shocking that yuto's phone hadn't exploded yet. he was deathly concerned that something had happened because when he headed to his apartment, it was empty. no matter how many times he called yuto, he never picked up. (yuto dropped his phone in a ditch.) as much as he wished he would pick up, he knew it was his fault. there was no denying that. he had given up inside, like yuto. both staring at the same sky, just with different feelings and different motives."please come back."
"let me forget you."
but they couldn't do either. and no matter what it was, there was no end for them. an endless cycle, again and again. until they both fell apart, soulless.
only longing for one.
each other.
but it wasn't so easy, was it?
