Mandy looked around, seeing that others from their group were inviting every single person in the room to the party, and from what she could tell, there would be no one refusing. Rather, everyone seemed to ask about inviting even more people.
Even Liliana asked: "Can my cousin come as well; she's outside--"
"Of course," August replied.
And to prevent a case of passing out, Purple lent a kitty ear headband to Liliana. Mandy almost broke out into a laugh seeing two chestnut brown kitty ears matching Liliana's hair color on the head of an otherwise fierce-looking CEO lady. That gap appeal. Cassis also looked amused.
And moments later, the purple express had them all return to the party spot by the lake. Everyone rose their hands up in cheers, and August was tackled by Hilary, Reagan, and his siblings.
He looked embarrassed, but also happy. All of them were. The snacks and drinks started circulating, and while it was clear that the magical beast side was half-disappointed about missing out on a potential war, all of that was soon forgotten as they got their hands on the ambrosia.
This one got a loving name of Twilight ambrosia - It painted a picture of a wild rose garden under the rays of the setting sun. Since it looked like August would keep being tackled and congratulated for a long time, Mandy went to help Lily and the time traveler bunch with passing out snacks and drinks.
She asked Albus if pregnant people could have a drink before floating some over to Liliana. Albus said that ambrosia granted a sort of immortality to those who were drunk on it, so there would be no issue.
Mandy almost started complaining that Albus had lied about her killing humans in that case, but dropped the deal before it left her lips. It was a celebration, and the fact itself was a comforting detail to know.
Hey! That meant that as long as Mandy used ambrosia as the stuff she had others chug down, she wouldn't murder anyone even if they weren't in August's domain.
This detail made Mandy tear up and take a grateful sip before she knew it.
And the Party Animal descended on the event yet again.
Needless to say - it went like usual. Again, Mandy had been busy half-murdering people for fun, but no one died in the end, so all was well, probably, possibly, perhaps.
For a change, August was the first one to wake up. When Mandy opened her eyes soon after, she saw an unbelievable sight.
Cassis was holding August's hands and looking down at 'what the hell' faced August with a sincere look.
"Please marry--
Mandy floated into the delusion heaven of imagining Cassis and August marrying, but--
--us" was what Cassis said with Liliana standing next to him. So it obviously wouldn't be 'me'-- but but-- Mandy sniffled, it would have been amusing to see if it had been.
"I'm not a priest," said August.
"I can't go into churches," Cassis replied just the same way.
"I don't have the legal authority to," August said.
"We don't need that; we just want to be married in front of God by Ureal customs, so you are our best and only bet!" Cassis said, still holding onto August.
August squinted. Mandy had a feeling he was thinking hard if there was anyone he could dump this on, but-- "Fine." Cassis was right.
Now that Mandy had met other dryads, she knew that - they wouldn't do. Firstly, they only spoke in fae. Secondly, they had such severe cases of ADD Mandy doubted they'd ever reach the venue, even if they understood where it was.
