She watched as the Quinjet flew out of view. She rushed towards the nearest podcaster. "Hey big guy, you did good now I'm going to need you to turn around, we can't track you in stealth mode." She said, keeping her voice calm.

She lost connection to Banners ship. "We'll keep looking." Steve said, placing a gentle hand on Natasha's shoulder. "What if he doesn't want to be found?" She asked, wiping a tear off her cheek.

"We'll still find him, come I need help with training." He replied. She nodded her head and stood up. They got halfway to the training room, before turning and running straight for the bathroom.

"Natasha?" Steve asked knocking on the bathroom door. "I'm fine, just got a little sick." She replied, flushing the toilet and standing up. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yeah." She nodded, walking past him.

A few weeks later, Natasha woke up violently ill. Steve, who is in the next room, rushed over to check on her. "Tasha?" He asked, holding her hair back. "I'm fine." She said, wiping her mouth. "You're sick, lets go to the hospital, come." Steve insisted, helping her up.

"Can I get dressed first?" She sighed, giving in. "Of course, meet me in the garage." He said, walking out. She quickly dressed, before heading downstairs. "This is pointless you know." She sighed. "You need to get better." He replied.

As they drove down the street, she started feeling nauseated again. "Hopefully they figure out what's wrong with me." She sighed, leaning her head back. "They will." He replied, parking.

They walked into the hospital, and the nurse lead them into an operation room. "The doctor will be in to see you soon." She said, walking back out. "Why didn't we just go to the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters?" Natasha asked.

"Because, this was closer." He answered, right as the doctor walked into the room. "Good morning Miss. Romanoff, what brings you in today?" He asked, looking at his clipboard. "I've been feeling really sick the past few weeks, throwing up and just tired a lot." She answered.

"Are you the husband?" He asked, looking at Steve. "Oh, no I'm her best friend." Steve answered. "It's ok, he can stay." Natasha spoke up. "Alright, well I just have a few questions to ask." The doctor explained, grabbing out a pen. Natasha nodded for him to continue.

"When was your last cycle?" He asked. "Oh, uhm I'm not sure maybe a couple months ago." She answered. "Why is that important?" Steve asked. "What you've been feeling, is normally a sign of.pregnancy." the doctor answered.

"That's not possible, I was sterilised." Natasha said, trying to find her words. "We can do an Ultrasound, just to be safe." He continued. Natasha nodded her head. "I'll be back." the doctor said, walking out.

"Is it possible?" Steve asked. "I don't know anymore, I can't handle a baby right now Steve." she said, looking over at him. "You'll make an excellent mother Tasha, besides all of us are here to help you." Steve said, smiling at her. "Thank you Steve." She smiled.

The doctor, and nurse, walked back into the room with a machine. "Lift your shirt up just above your upper stomach." The nurse explained. Natasha slowly lifted her shirt. "This'll be cold at first." The nurse continued, putting a cool jelly like substance on Natasha's stomach.

"Alright, lets get this going." The doctor said. He moved the jell around her stomach with the sonogram. "See, there that's a baby." He said, pointing at the screen. "How far along?" She asked, not looking at the screen.

"Almost twelve weeks, give or take." he answered. "What's that?" Steve asked, pointing at the screen. "What's wrong?" Natasha asked, finally looking over. "Normally it's too early to tell, but you're having twins, congratulations Miss Romanoff." The doctor announced. "Twins?" She whispered, looking up.

Months later, her water broke around midnight. Tony was working late in the lab and Steve was passed out in the next room. She leaned over and knocked on the wall loudly. Steve jumped awake. "FRIDAY, turn on the lights." Natasha groaned, sitting up.

"Tasha, I'm here." Steve said, rushing into the room. "FRIDAY, shut off radio in Lab one." she continued. "Nat, speak to me." Steve said, laying next to her. "Labor, babies." She gasped, grabbing her lower stomach.

The elevator dinged, and Tony came into the room. "Alright first, never kill my music, second we need to get you to the hospital." Tony said, looking at her. "No, no we can't they're part Hulk." Natasha said, looking at him.

"I don't know how to perform a home birth." Tony said, looking at Steve. "Do you?" He continued. Steve shook his head. "For Christs sake, FRIDAY call Pepper." Natasha called out. "Yes miss Romanoff."

"Pepper doesn't know either." Tony said. "Between a genius, a soldier and a highly intelligent woman I think we can figure it out." Natasha snapped. "Tony it's midnight." Peppers voice filled the room.

"Hey, I need you here, it's time." Natasha called out. "It's time?" Pepper asked. "Yes." "On my way." Pepper said, hanging up. "We'll figure it out Tony." Natasha sighed leaning back. "Alright, Steve prop her up with pillows, I'll get some ice chips and a ton of towels." Tony said, walking out of the room.

"He really stepped up." Natasha smiled, leaning forward as Steve stuffed pillows behind her back. "He cares, we all do." Steve replied, looking at him. "Is there any news on Banner, any at all?" She asked, looking up at him. "No, I'm sorry Tasha." He replied. "It's alright." She whispered, looking over.

Hours later, two tiny babies were born. "You want to hold them?" Tony asked. "No, I can't be their mother, they won't ever be safe with me." she replied, a tear flowing down her face. "Nat, we can make them safe." Pepper said, looking at her.

"No, we can't Pep." Natasha replied, wiping a tear away. "Where do we take them?" Tony asked. "Russia, a girl there owes me a favour." She answered. "I'll take them in a few hours, they'll need names." Steve said, looking at her. "Lada Natalia Banner and Nickoli Clinton Banner." Natasha said, looking away, tears flowing down her face.
