Ever since then, Tobirama become extremely protective of Yukiko, especially since he knew Madara was still after her, and he was not one to give up so easily, which only served to make Tobirama even more wary of their peaceful days.
On the other hand, Tobirama also wanted to enjoy them, as he knew that these times wouldn't last, especially since they were still fighting in a never-ending war, to which he knew Yukiko loathed.
He once shared his thoughts with her on one of their daily night-sessions near Tobirama's favourite spot, saying that he himself thought that all this fighting was unnecessary.
"Instead of fighting it out in a war that's bound to take lives, isn't it better to just have diplomatic talks and sign parchments over agreements?" he grumbled as he was close to sleeping upon Yukiko's comfortable lap as she gently ran his hand through his snow-white hair.
Yukiko, whom was surprised that he shared her views, let out a soft smile as she gently nodded at his statement. "Yeah, then all this blood-shed and death would finally end." she murmured wistfully as she stared up at the full moon, wishing for days she knew would never come.
"Tobi......when are you heading out again?" Yukiko asked as Tobirama, who was extremely close to nodding off, managed to answer : "Tomorrow......afternoon...." was all he said before falling asleep completely.
Yukiko let out a chuckle at her adorable significant other as she leaned down before placing a long kiss on his forehead, smiling fondly at his sleeping facade before her smile slowly withered down into a frown as she thought of what was to come.
She knew that he had to participate in these wars - he was the second in command after all. However, it didn't mean that she wanted him to. There was always the possibility of him never...never coming back to her. She swore to herself that she would always protect him, not matter the cost.
And unlike Madara, he didn't stop her from joining the war with him, only advising of her to stay close as he trusted in her abilities. This had made Yukiko unbelievably happy, to know that he counted on her to have his back, and vice versa. The both of them had eventually become a fearsome duo that many shinobi across the lands now dubbed as: 'The White Death'
It was a fitting name indeed, for whoever saw them met their end not long after.
Yukiko's kenjutsu also improved over the years as she had a great kenjutsu master as her teacher now - the one and only Tobirama Senju. He drilled the very basics into her before moving forward with more advanced moves. While she loved him dearly, she also found herself wanting to pummel her into the earth whenever he gave her his signature smirk which always seemed to say - 'My win.'
Now Yukiko was an extremely competitive individual, and did not take losing lightly as she strived to improve herself so that she'll be able to have him by her tip of the sword one day.

The battle that ensued the next afternoon was an easy one, as the enemy clan - 'The Hattori', relied heavily on their swordsmanship instead of their chakra and jutsus. Once it was over, only a hundred or so men had fell as Yukiko stood next to Tobirama, shaking off the blood from her sword before turning to him.
"You're hurt." she murmured as she began healing a cut on his arm of which he had gotten when facing off against multiple enemies.
"It's alright. But what about you?" he asked concernedly, giving her a once-over as she chuckled. "Just a few bruises, not much. However.......don't you think that this was somehow too....easy?" she voiced her doubts to him as he nodded in agreement.
"The Hattori are a strong clan, but they should have known better than to engage with us, which begs the question of what they were actually trying to achieve in the first place." he answered as they looked around them, enjoying the silence after a battle when a horrified scream suddenly rang out, just as both Yukiko's and Tobirama's blood ran cold.
