I woke up the next morning sore as hell, I looked over next to me and there laid Dave. He had this lil mug plastered on his face and his arm hung loosely around me. I careful removed his arm and got up making my way to the bathroom. I relieved myself and started up the shower. While the shower was heating up, I went ahead and brushed my teeth. I tied my hair up and stepped inside, I let out a sigh of relief as the hot water hit my body. "Bae?" I heard Dave yell from the bedroom. "In the shower!" I yelled for him to hear me. I didn't think he got up until he walked into the bathroom. "Goodmorning luv." he said brushing his teeth. "Good morning." I said washing off and turning off the shower. "What's yo plans for today?" he asked as I stepped out wrapping the towel around me. "Working. The usual. What's your plans?" I asked drying off as he stepped in. "When you gone quit this lil job Ry? And nothing stopping by the office just to check on how shits going." he said. "Dave, you know how I feel about quitting my job. I feel like this is the only sense of independence I have." I sighed moisturizing my body and getting my clothes together. "Ryan we have a baby on the way, you don't need to be workin." he said from inside the bathroom. I sighed sitting on the bed, I don't wanna be the person who constantly depends on Dave. Like he takes care of a lot of people and I don't wanna be another one of those girls who needs him. "I guess." I said. I heard the shower stop and he came out the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. "You guess what Ryan? You stand on yo feet for 10 plus hours a day, you don't think that's unhealthy for the baby?" he asked from inside his closet. "Dave I get where your coming from but I don't wanna always be depending on you." I said putting on my outfit for the day. "I'm not saying be dependent on me but damn I wanna be able to spend more time wit you, and you don't need to be having hectic weeks at that bullshit ass job." he said walking out in his boxers. "I know but..-" I went to say but he interrupted me. "nah ain't no buts we in a committed relationship so we need to make sacrifices for each other." he said slipping on his basketball shorts and white tee. "So I haven't made any sacrifices?" I asked looking at him as if he grew 2 heads. "Thats not what I'm sayin." "Nah I haven't made any sacrifices? But I went to jail to save you, not only that I sat in a hospital chair for damn near 24 hours cause I love you & that's me making a big ass sacrifice. You know what I'm not about to argue with you Dave. I'm going to work." I said heading out the room. I grabbed my keys and phone off the island and right before I opened the door Dave grabbed me,"That's not what I meant Ry, I'm just saying you shouldn't be working for nobody. You remember when you told me about yo dream to own a business? I'll help you get that. Just please quit this lil gig." he pleaded holding my arm. I sighed knowing he wouldn't drop the subject,"I'll quit today after I get off." He nodded,"alright. I love you and be careful." he said pecking me on the lips. I went to my car and got in, I put my seatbelt on and started the car. Dave stood in the door making sure I left the house okay. On the way to my job I stopped and got something to eat, and I ate on my way there. When I made it I quickly got out and made my way inside. I clocked in and sat behind the register,"Morning Ry." my coworker Jessica said walking inside. "Morning boo." I said taking a sip of my coffee. "What's been going on?" she asked hanging up her jacket. "Nothing really, just been tired of working here, so I been thinking about quitting. I just don't enjoy working here anymore." I said with a shrug. "Girl so word on the streets is you fuck with this nigga named East, is it true?" she asked. I didn't really talk to her outside of the work place so what I did in my private life was none of her business. "Who is East?" I asked putting on the confused look. She damn near passed out, "you don't know who he is? He's like the nigga these dudes wanna be and the nigga these bitches wanna be with. Girl he's fine as hell." she said fantasing about my child's father. I chuckled at her, if only she knew this nigga was all over me last night. I sat there on my phone scrolling on instagram and saw that babe posted on his page.

I chuckled and clicked out of the app. I looked up when I heard someone walk inside. "Goodmorning welcome." I greeted the young lady. She smiled and said hey, she looked around deciding on if she liked anything.

It was a little after 3 and I had been here since 9. I had told my boss that this was my last day and part of me hoped that I wouldn't be making a mistake. She said she was sad to see me leave but she understood. I had lunch around 1:30 and I felt myself becoming hungry once again. I shot Dave a text asking him what he wanted for dinner since I wouldn't be leave til after 7. He said he wanted pizza and wings, it sounded okay but I wanted something else. I spent the rest of my shift straightening up the shop. When 7pm hit I clocked out and said my final goodbyes to my coworkers and my now ex boss. I left and made my way to Pizza Hut since Dave wanted pizza so I called in the order.
Dave
I waited for bae to make it to the crib wit the food. I wasn't sure if she actually quit her job, but I could only hope for the best. I cleaned up the house and waited for her to make her presence known. About 20 minutes went by and I heard the lock turn and in came Ryan. "Bae? I'm home!" she called out so I jogged down the stairs to help her wit the shit she brought. I grabbed the 2 boxes of pizza and some other stuff she got from there. I sat the food in the kitchen and grabbed her purse from her sitting it down. "How was work bae?" I said pecking her on the lips. She wrapped her arms around me,"it was good, tiring." I picked her up and carried her to the kitchen,"babe. let's eat before the food gets cold." She said giggling as I kissed on her neck. I sat her back on her feet and she grabbed the boxes carrying them to the living room. I turned on a movie, and we ate in a comfortable silence.
