Dave

I barely parked before hopping out the car. I saw the door wide open and I pulled my gun out from my waistband.
I mentally prayed that Kairi and Ryan was good but from the looks of it, I knew that wasn't gonna be the case. I tip toed inside carefully looking around, there was broken glass everywhere. "baby!" I called out, no response. "Kairi!" I looked all around downstairs but no sign of either one of them. I made my way upstairs, I looked in Kai's room first but it was indeed empty. I heard someone mumbling in our room and I carefully opened the door. There laid a partially naked Ryan who was tied to the bed, she had tape over her mouth and you could tell that she had been crying. I quickly ran towards her and ripped the tape off her mouth. "You okay? Where's Kairi?" I asked looking around while trying to untie her. "I'm fine, he locked her in the bathroom." I quickly ran towards the bathroom and twisted the door knob only to realized that it's locked. I didn't wanna break down the door because I didn't know exactly where she was in the bathroom. "lord be with us." I mumbled before lifting my foot and kicking the door off the hinges. I was met by this nigga holding Kairi in his arms telling her that daddy was here, but he wasn't talking about me, he was referring to himself. My blood boiled and I wanted to blow his head off his fucking shoulders but my child was here and she doesn't need to be scarred for life from that. "Put her down. NOW!" my voice boomed throughout the room. Kairi popped her head up and looked at me, "Dada." she said reaching for me but this goofy ass nigga told her no. He got up and sat her down and told her to go to Ryan, she waddled out the bathroom and climbed on the bed where Ryan was, she now had on this tracksuit covering herself. She grabbed Kairi and held on to her, she examined her to see if she had any marks. "Bae get out, I want you to go as far as you can away here. Ima call you when I'm finished." I said calmly to her, the look she held in her eyes said she didn't wanna leave but she knew that's what was best for them at this moment. "I love you. Forever." she said walking out with Kairi on her hip. "I love you more." I said quietly. I snapped out my thoughts by P chuckling,"that's real cute. You a lucky ass nigga for bagging her fine ass. You kinda interrupted our lil moment by barging in." he said looking over at the now empty bed. "Bitch you got me fucked up, you come into my shit eyeing MY girl. You touched my child." I said chuckling to suppress my anger. "Woah woah woah, my sister was murdered and as her so called nigga you ain't do shit to help. Which is what brought me here, word on the street is you and yo niggas had something to do wit it." the more he talked the more I tapped the trigger. He went to say something else but I emptied the whole clip on his bitch ass. "Fuck you and yo sister." I mumbled. I stood there and looked at his lifeless body, he lucky I ain't have anymore bullets cause this bum really violated.
I sighed mentally drained from all this shit, I'm honestly surprised that Ryan stuck around as long as she did cause this has been one hell of a relationship wit me. I'm sure if she knew what she was getting herself into she would've never took it there wit me. I cleaned up the house the best of my abilities, I called a nigga I met thru Trey and he came thru to get this niggas body. I paid him cash careful not to leave a paper trail. I knew the game all too well, if shit got fucked up wit homie I know he would be quick to rat me out. And I wanna be around to see Kairi grow up, and I don't need Ryan going thru anything without me.

Ryan

I was in almost out of Atlanta when I got the phone call from Dave. I let out a sigh of relief as I answered the phone. "Baby is everything okay?" I asked quickly as I looked up into the rearview mirror at Kairi. She was playing on her iPad and wasn't paying me no mind. "Everythings fine bae, we're gonna take a early flight to New York tonight. So ima pack you guys stuff and just meet me at the airport." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion cause this was becoming too much. Mentally this has been a lot the last year, from the engagement to Dave getting shot then going through the miscarriage and now this? I love Dave with all my heart but being with him is dangerous as hell.
And I was tired of putting my life as well as Kairi's life in danger. He was gonna have to do something and do it fast.

Dave

After the house was straightened up, I started packing up our stuff. I made sure I got everything Ry and Kai needed. I sighed knowing that we would have to have a very serious talk once we were face to face but part of me was slightly nervous.
Once I booked our flights I loaded all our shit into the backseats of my car. It was a little after 6 and I had to meet Ryan at the airport to board this flight.
I made my way there and was met by Ryan who had this hurt look etched on her face. I leaned in to kiss her but she turned her head which resulted in me kissing her cheek. "Wassup? Why you doing allat?" she simply ignored me and heading inside with Kairi in her arms. I sighed and drug our bags through TSA.

Once we were on the plane, I went ahead and let Ryan have the window seat and Kairi sat in between us.
"Wassup Ry talk to me." I said looking over at her. "I don't think I can do this.. When I met you I never thought I would go through hell and high waters just to be with you. I love you to death, we have a child together but her life as well as mine keeps being put on the line. I've told you on multiple occasions that you needed to leave that life alone and you promised me that you were done. That's why we moved across the fucking country to Atlanta, but once you started meeting up with Trey we almost lost our lives once again.. We just need a break, so I'll be staying in New York even after you leave." she said and my mouth fell open. I had no idea that this conversation would go like this but at the end of the day she was completely right. And I had no choice but to respect her decision to make the right choice for her and Kairi. I simply nodded and said,"I respect you and your decision. And you know I'll always love you and Kairi. And if you leaving Atlanta to go back to New York was what you feel is right for you then I fully support you."
She sighed and went to take off her engagement ring but I stopped her, "we not broken up, just taking a small break." She forced a smile and hugged me, I hugged her back taking in her natural scent. I really loved this girl man, and I just hoped things would get better soon.
