The next day I spent the morning cleaning up the house. I had music playing and Kairi sat in her bouncer watching TV in the living room. Dave cleaned the upstairs while I cleaned downstairs. Today my mama was coming into town and she was gonna be staying with us, I got the bright idea for our family to actually meet. Like my mom, his mom and grandma and we could only hope for the best cause his family wasn't sane. It was around 11:30 when Brooke, Baby, and Ghost came and now we was just waiting on our family to come. Dave hired a chef to fix lunch for the group of us. Aug sat on the couch holding Kairi while Brooke sat at the table getting comfortable eating, Dave and Chris was pouring themselves something to drink. I knew babe was gonna be lit by the time everyone left so I skipped the drinking. And one by one our family started showing up, first it was my mom and her husband Dominic. They got acquainted with everyone, about 30 minutes later Pam and Miss C came but they brought someone. He almost looked identical to Dave and he brought a young lady to which I'm assuming is his wife. I didn't expect this many people to be here but I didn't complain. That's until Dave pulled me to the side,"Okay so my mama and them brought my older brother Travis and his girl Mya. I just wanted you to know so you wouldn't feel uncomfortable." I nodded as he pulled me in for a kiss. At this point we now had a house full it was 11 people in here and I was actually surprised. Everyone headed outside to the backyard where we were now going to start up the barbeque pit. And as I was holding Kairi those who've yet to meet her prior to this get together was just going on and on about who she looked like the most and how cute she was. I thanked them and made my way to a chair to sit my ass down. I looked over next to me and saw Chris catering to Brooke's needs and I smiled at the 2. I remember when Dave and I was like that, I mean we still are just not as often as it it used to be.

As the time got closer the more nervous I became. I wanted to call this whole thing off but I knew it was now or never. Ryan didn't know but there was a reason I invited all our close friends and family. I had intentions on finally popping the questiontoday and I hoped she said yes. We had danced and partied all day and as I slowly became dark outside we all started to get into positions. I sent Ryan and Brooke inside to grab the men something to drink but while they were in there everybody gathered around the back door and I got down on one knee. Once they returned Ryan had a blindfold on talking shit. "Brooke why the hell do I have to wear this shi-" she paused mid sentence when Brooke snatch the blindfold off. She looked down and gasped when she saw me on one knee,"Ry I been tryna figure ways to do this, I wasn't big on the romantic love shit but after I met you all that changed. You been there for me no matter what, thick and thin, right or wrong, sick and in health. You gave me my first child, I hope many more to come." I said chuckling nervously before continuing,"you make me a better man, you've helped me grow in ways I didn't think was possible. Who would've thought when you started working that day I would've fell for you. That'll be a good ass story to tell our kids one day, anyways back to what I was saying.You make my bad days good, you motivate me in so many ways so what I'm tryna say is Ryan Destiny Taylor will you marry me?" at this point her ass was balling her eyes out. She nodded her head,"Yes. Yes I'll marry you." I slid the ring on her finger and engulfed her into a hug while everyone clapped. I pecked her on the lips and out of no where gun shots went off, everybody screamed and ducked. Ryan quickly went after Chris who was now holding Kairi and I went after her. She crouched down over Kairi shielding her from what ever came their way and I shielding the both of them. After the bullets stopped everyone was scared to get up. I slowly raised up and looked over at everybody making sure nobody was hurt. Once the coast was clear we rushed to help everyone get home safely, we thanked them for coming and apologized for what happened. The last person to leave was Brooke and Chris, they checked to make sure Ryan wasn't too shaken up and she appeared to be fine but deep down I knew that was far from the truth. Once they left and we got Kairi situated, Ry sat at the table with her head in her hands. "Wanna talk about it?" I asked taking a seat next to her, part of me knew this was my fault and it clearly wasn't the end to what happened wit Heather, she had brothers who's been threatening me since she died. But I got a problem when you bring this shit to my family, my home the place where my daughter lays her head. Not only that my girl was here as well as our family, this was no where near over. "I wanna leave New York babe. Seriously cause after tonight I don't feel safe here, not only that our child is now in danger." she said wit a sigh, I knew she was right so it was something that had to be done. I made a mental note to get on contact wit my real estate agent on houses in Atlanta, I thought there would be perfect since I knew she enjoyed it. I would have to leave someone on charge of the businesses I owned. I told myself I'll deal wit it later, so after taking a shower with Ry we checked on Kai and climbed into the bed. We stayed up another hour or so about the future and our plans together. I was now able to say that I have a fiancè.
