Chapter 9

I try to brush off on what just happened but I couldn't help but think about it. I began to feel butterflies in my stomach as I continued to think about it. I try distracting myself by looking out the cart window as I hold on tightly to my brand new stuffed kangaroo friend.

"So, are you the same age as Jeongin?" Chan decides to break the awkward silence filling the air.

"Y-Yeah I am, I'm 17 years old. How old are you?" I was curious because I knew he was older than me but didn't know his age.

"I just turned 20 at the beginning of this month." He wasn't that much older than me as I thought he would be.

"Oh, your birthday past recently? Happy late birthday." I wish him a belated birthday.

"Thanks, so when is your birthday?" He curiously asks.

"It's March 28th, I have a while till I turn 18."

"Maybe we all could do something for your birthday, like something big." Chan adorably gestures his arms open.

"I don't really do much for my birthdays." Ever sine I was young my birthdays were just my mother and I.

"Well this one will be different!" Chan gives his signature bright dimple smile.

I didn't fight with him about my birthday, I just dropped the subject hoping maybe he wouldn't remember and not do anything special.

The Ferris wheel came to a stop at the bottom and Chan and I make our way off the Ferris wheel. We head off searching for the others so we can all grab some dinner.

"Did you have a good visit to the fair y/n?" Chan breaks the silence as we continue to find the others.

"I did. Thanks for being my partner because if you weren't I would be stuck with Jisung and Minho." I give him a bright smile as I tightly hug the stuffed kangaroo.

"It's no problem. I'm just glad you had a great time." He gave a soft warm smile that caused butterflies in my stomach.

"Y/n!" I hear an excited familiar voice call out to me. It was Jeongin. "Y/n! Did you have fun?" Jeongin excitedly runs up to me which was so adorable.

"Ya I had a great time." I give him a reassuring smile while I start to blush as I think about what happened in the Ferris wheel.

"Why am I getting so worked up over a kiss on the cheek?! Come down y/n! It was just a kiss on the cheek!"

"I'm glad you had a good time. I just wish I was your partner. Hyunjin kept babying me again!" Jeongin lets out a pout as he crosses his arms.

"You know you love me." Hyunjin pulls Jeongin into his arms and squeezes him tightly.

"Hyung! Please get off of me!" Jeongin pleaded good be released.

Hyunjin refused to let him go and continued to hug him ever so tightly. Jeongin stopped squirming In Hyunjin's arms and finally accepted defeat.

The rest of the boys met up with us and we all were deciding on what we want for dinner. I separated myself from the conversation not caring what was for dinner. I was never picky with my food.
