The hot summer sun was setting as they drove to Chan's parents house. The house he once lived in.They make it to the house and y/n noticed it was a decent sized house near the coast. She turn her gaze to Chan as he had a gleam in his eyes with a dimpled smile, he was happy to be at his old home.
They head inside and Chan's mom shows them the room they will be staying in. It was Chan's old bedroom, some of his things that he left were still there but it was turned into guest bedroom.
After a bit Chan's mom called them down for dinner.
"So y/n tell us a little about yourself, if you don't mind." His mom gave y/n a smile as she was curious about her.
"Umm.. I would like to become a doctor or nurse after college. And I volunteer at a hospital." She didn't know what tell his parents.
"That's great! What made you want to become a doctor?" His mom curiously asked.
Y/n thought before speaking. "I would like to help people."
"That's very sweet of you. Your parents must be proud of you." Chan shot a glance towards his mom then towards y/n.
"Mom, how about we change subject. Like how you redecorated the house. The interior looks great!" Chan tried to change the subject knowing the subject of her parents was a touchy subject.
"Oh, I'm sorry if brought something up." Chan's mom apologized as she sweetly rubbed y/n's back.
"Don't worry it's okay." She gave her a reassuring smile.
The four changed the subject with them getting to no each other better. His mom even brought up some old embarrassing memories of Chan which caused him to pretty embarrassed.
"Would you like to see Chan's baby pictures?" Chan began choking on his food.
"Mom! No baby pictures!" He was already embarrassed from his mom telling his embarrassing moments, he didn't want to be more embarrassed.
"Actually I would like to see them." She let out a giggle.
"Y/n." He elongated. "Not you too!"
"I'll show you them later. Would you like to help me with dishes sweetie?" His mom gathered the dirty dishes.
She nodded and headed to the kitchen to help her with the dishes leaving his dad and Chan at the table.
"So what do you think of her?" Chan nervously asked worried what his dad thought.
"She seems like a sweet girl, you better treat her well because she sounds like a keeper." His dad displayed a smile.
He was happy to hear his dad approved of the girl that made him happy. The two began to catch up after many years of not seeing each other.
"Thank you y/n for being there for Chan, especially when his grandmother died." His mom gave her thankful smile.
"Of course, I always want to be there for him." She smiles to herself as she drys the dishes.
"My Chan is so lucky to have someone like you." A moment of silence passes. "I've been meaning to ask but you don't have to answer it if you don't want but what happened to your parents?"
"My mom died almost a year ago." She didn't mind telling but still kinda hurt.
"Oh.. I'm so sorry. I'm sure she is looking down being so proud." She gives y/n an embracing hug.
"Thank you-" Y/n and his mom hear a noice outside of the kitchen.
"Ow!"
"Chan, were you spying?" They pull away from the hug and y/n places her hands on her hips
